A crowd of 100 stunned stargazers brought a town centre to a standstill when five mysterious UFOs were spotted hovering in the sky.

Drinkers spilled out of pubs, motorists stopped to gawp and camera phones were aimed upwards as the five orbs, in a seeming formation, hovered above Stratford-Upon-Avon for half an hour.

The unidentified flying objects lit up the otherwise clear night sky above Shakespeare's birthplace in Warwickshire on Saturday.

go0d story,wish more people got nice footage like this video.

I watched the video and to me it looked more like the guy was moving the camera to make it appear as if they were moving quickly. It looked just like lanterns that were suggested in another thread.

I think this is a very exciting development! I find it laughable that people are saying it's a lantern or a balloon. This is not a hoax.....Read the the witness statements....From all the evidence available...I have to conclude that this is definitely a very good case...All this evidence can't be ignored...And over a hundred people can't be ignored...I'm sorry these stupid swamp gas...balloons... flair excuses Isn't working anymore....The evidence is getting better all the time...This is either new tech or et's...SIMPLE AS THAT

I'd be interested to see what lanterns move fast, and form triangular forations all of a sudden?

Even if the guy did move his camera fast, how do you account for the dozens of other witnesses that saw the objects move at speed?

If you've ever used a video camera you know how hard it is to hold it still and how every little movement looks like a massive jerk on the video.

True.......so like i said above, how what about the witness statements of a hundred other people?

I think i'll save the hoax calls until i see a few more different pieces of footage from other people.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I was siding with the person who shot the video by explaining that the camera movement did not look intentional as if he was trying to make it look more convincing by doing it.

In other words I thought it looked real..

Per some above comments, ya, anyone who's ever zoomed camera all the way in knows that the slightest movement looks HUGE.

And the fact that hundreds of people saw these 'things' seriously helps the story.

One would hope that in this day and age with all the technology available, we will one day get a clear and stable shot of whatevers up there.

Mysterious lights have been spotted in the skies above south west Hertfordshire.

There have been several reports of "silent balls of fire" being spotted in the sky above Watford and Bushey on Saturday night.

Marks Sears says he saw about 13 lights in the shape of a triangle in the sky above Bushey around 11.30pm on Saturday.

Other UKers please keep an eye on your local papers for simular storys.

What is very interesting about all of this is that these sightings are coinciding with the flooding and Thames river banks burst. Does anyone see anything strange about this?

This is a very interesting report. I am also a tad bit concerned. The good thing is that it seems more and more media outlets and mainstream newspapers aren't afraid to report on UFOs anymore. I hope this trend continues. Hopefully the days of someone getting labeled a "quack" or a "crackpot" when they see a UFO are over.

The concerning part is, given that UFOs don't appear to be taboo, there seem to be more and more sightings. My questions are, (1) is the number of sightings increasing, or (2) does the number of sightings only appear to be increasing due to more widespread reporting?

I don't know why, but something in the pit of my stomach doesn't like the idea of more UFOs.

I live in the U.S., but I think that with all the crop circles and tons of sightings in the U.K., that is where "first contact" will happen first. Obviously we already had first contact decades ago, but I mean true and open to the public "first contact". And I think there's a very good reason for this: obviously these EBEs know that the U.S. is not trust worthy, for whatever joint agreements they might have had together have panned out to be disinformation to the public. Not to mention that the people here in the U.S. have been thoroughly brainwashed by the media and corporate America; our military would strike at these craft immediately if they openly appeared for mass public view. I just hope for the sake of the people in the U.K. that these beings are benevolent (at least the ones you are seeing, as there are thought to be at least 57 different races).

This is a very interesting event, but it always strikes me as odd that many of these types of sightings are filmed / observed only at night. The "type" I refer to is the "black-triangle-craft-with-lights-in-each-bottom-corner" deal. In many ways, it is much easier to fake a sighting like this at night. I'm not saying this is "fake". But I'll be super impressed when a good filming of this type of craft takes place in the middle of the day. I could be wrong; maybe this type of craft isn't even visible during the day? Strange. Anyway, is it just me, or would you guys just love to be present during one of these sightings and have a high-speed helicopter standing by to go in for a closer look?

I think it might have something to do with mms rollover, but I couldn't find a fix for it.

This is very definitely a set of weather balloons flying in formation, or possibly some swamp gas, or possibly some ball lightening. (Yes I am lampooning some of the shoddy work of skeptics.)
Seriously though, can someone put this video on YouTube because I couldn't view the video as provided in the link. Linux doesn't seem to support that video codec or something. If someone can find a youtube link then please provide it!

I have to say this was the most convincing piece of footage I have seen yet. To me this footage seals the deal. We are being visited.
