Well, he did try to steal the tubes, and the documents. But this guy WAS a contractor, he had the intelligence and desire to build it himself.

They state that he wanted to sell them, however, anyone he would have sold it to, would have had no problem building the apparatus themselves. I think this guy was actually a hobbyist who overstepped his boundaries. By alot.


The reason for me believing this is, I've helped tear down a few factories. Each time I always speak to those in charge to see if I can remove some of their equipment and keep it for my own personal uses. Things like robotic arms that would have been de-commissioned... electronics parts... wiring... control boards. I almost got a CNC machine out of it, which would have been trashed because of it's age.

Now, of course if I understood nuclear technology enough to re-produce it... I wouldn't ask the former owners, I'd know the answer already. Though, I probably wouldn't bother, I'm not too keen on handling that kind of stuff without the proper equipment... lead... alot of lead.
