I'm not so sure that would work. For it to work, everyone would have to want it. What would you do with the numerous people who don't? I agree it would be a great life, very productive, but people just don't want to be productive, it's human nature. Who would be in charge? How could you keep them from becoming corrupt?(I think it's a great idea, but it needs to be thought out and planned very carefully)

It's not impossible though. Just highly improbable.

I agree, its been a failure, but Marx was definitely on to something.

He was on to something. He designed a perfect system where everyone could be equally happy. BUT, he forgot to factor in human flaw. He didn't factor in greed or laziness. For Communism to work, everyone must want Communism. Everyone must want to be equal. They must be willing to sacrifice.

Do you think a majority of the rich want to live like the middle class? Would they give up their three summer homes in Bermuta, their silk sheets, lavish clothing? I know I wouldn't like to move any further down the ladder. They would be the ones who screw up the system by cheating, hoarding, or sapping funds. Like I said, we currently have an aristocracy.

I don't believe Capitalism's "goal" is for a few rich men and a poor Earth. It is what you make of it. If you try hard to make a comfortable living, you will have it. True, some must try harder, but it is always possible. This country, however, is not truly Capitalist. We are a free-market Aristocracy, and were always designed to be so.(so you can't use the USA as an example of Capitalism) It was designed to be a place for the rich that were not accepted in Europe to live and rule. They rule the system, they have the power. Personally, I don't even think they know how much power they have.

Then comes the laziness factor that namehere mentioned. It causes people to be unproductive. No incentives are offered to work hard. You get paid the same no matter how much you do. Capitalism, on the other hand, gives people a chance to attain their dreams, to be greedy, to work harder. Though, in our present time with all the socialistic policies being thrown around, people are lazier than ever. They don't want to learn, and they don't want to work.

Socialism, not Communism is the flaw. If you could find a way to get to Communism without going through Socialism, you could have it. As I have said before, there has never(EVER) been a Communist country. Every single one in history(USSR, China, Cuba, N. Korea, Vietnam, ect...) were(or are) ALL Socialism or Authoritarian.

Capitalism is the only system that factors in greed and laziness. The only flaw I can see in Capitalism is that there is no factor for coruptness.

I would not be surprised. I was about to reply that his grandfather was a funder of Nazis. There is enough posted material on that. I still don't understand how hi s grandfather Prescott became a senator after funding the nazis and getting busted. I guess it's comforting to know that todays political corruption is no worse than it was in the past. Advances in technology, better PR, better stage management assure us that world war three or version 4.3 will be spectacular.
Same old stuff. Different century. Calling Bush a communist does not make sense; if one assumes any Nazi loyalty to his grandfather's ways. If the Bush Family loyalty is purely to the dollar, then it appears his may be the most loyal family on the planet. That makes sense when trying to put a finger on just where their loyalty lies.
He sides with the neocons and jews in this war. Prescott sided with Hitler. It's all green. Sell out American values and side with the Saudis? Good Idea. Money talks. He talks of Christian values, Moral Marriage, anti stem cell research, anti cloning, pro-life, and hopes for support of the Moral Majority. Good idea. You've got to balance the bad with the good. Keep up the illusion. Remember you can fool some of the people all the time. You can fool most of the people some of the time. Being the President of the U.S. is a good reference. I think we really should listen to his idea about putting all the nuclear waste at one place -Yucca Mountain. Then, we will be ready for Blackmail. One Big dirty bomb. And it's been in the news for a couple of years. It's got name recognition.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think our leaders are stupid. I just think they are dangerous.

I apologize for getting white hot about Bush, when I wasn't white hot about Clinton. You see, I tried to ignore politics for many years. when I was in High School I wrote a letter to the editor about our cold war with Russia. I was angry at the time that we wasted our taxdollars building so many nuclear bombs. We built enough to blow up the world many, many times. I thought it was fiscally irresponsible. I don't know about you guys but a man with 3,000 guns in his home will not scare me away more than a man with one gun. I won't screw with the guy. One gun can kill me; 3,000 isn't more scary. It's that first one that would keep me from screwing with him.

I wrote a letter to the editor of our local paper in the 1970s basically saying that the SALT treaty and arms control won't work if we threaten Russia with 3,000 times enough to vaporize them. If we just had enough to do it once, that would be a good starting point for negotiation. I included a bible verse that said, paraphrased, if the salt loses its salt it is fit for nothing but the dung heap. The paper edited out the dung heap part. Political Correctness, you know? So I figured it was pointless to gripe." People are ignorant," I thought.Years later the pols came up with this great idea to reduce the nukes. wow. They are so smart.

I figured the arms manufacturers were getting rich. Who knows, maybe they never even built fifty nukes. Maybe it was a big scam. I wouldn't be surprised. But the story is the Soviets had to build enough to destroy the earth at least one more time than we could. That's the story. Maybe Russian arms manufactures only built 51 but billed the citizens for 3,001. Wouldn't be surprised.

That's the way it goes. Our leaders and corporations are really taking care of us all. PCB's are banned here. They still make the stuff for south america. Gotta make money. We import alot of food from down there, but that's ok with the pols.

Drugs are unsafe from Canada. Cuts into profits, you know. Marijuana is dangerous. Cuts into profits, you know. I read that in south america the drug treatment centers are spreading lies and reefer madness that has been debunked here in America. Gotta make money. They are saying that marijuana CAUSES loss of apettite, nausea, glaucoma, etc. All opposite of reality. Gotta make money. People who use a water pipe to reduce tar when they smoke are being warned that it causes more tar. Yes. a lie is justified if it makes money.

Any one want to buy my used pickup? It runs on water, the exhaust is gold and it expands to a caribbean island with a castle just by turning two screws and folding it all out from the pickup bed. A lie? Sorry, I gotta make money.

Yes laziness sucks. America is the land of opportunity. I started my small business a few years ago cleaning out HUD homes. I cleaned up a bunch of filthy houses. I worked my ass off 14 hours a day for them. I thought I was off to a good start. Then the government dropped their five year contract. The company I worked for declared bankruptcy. I had worked a month, invested 500 dollars in equipment, was owed 1700 for the month and then did not get paid for three years , and then only got about 700 dollars through bankruptcy court. i had "stick- to-it-iveness" though . I worked for the next company to take over the contract only to be screwed by cuts in pay for services. I finally quit. screw it. Now I'm azy. Now I don't give a damn. All I wanted was a decent paying job. I'm a veteran. I was in the gulf war. Why can't I make enough to have a decent living? I read on the conspiracy sites about how HUD" lost" 59 million bucks that year, 2000, and caould not verify their accounting. Now, would it be fair to require US citizens pay taxes and be held accountable for their bookkeeping? Heck, no. Maybe that's what Enron was thinking. Communist or Capitalists, theives suck. What I want to know is why is our government now putting America last, under the guise of America first. Democracy for Iraq, police state for america. Total BS. Can't even defend our borders. Legalize illegals if they haver a job? Great Idea. I guess that will not only include Mexicans but everyone who came here illegally . Maybe Hitlers still alive. maybe he snuck over the border and will be legal if he gets a job at the quickie mart---or at HUD.

Very true. Theives suck. Sadly, that is what most people are. They want the 'quick buck' no matter who pays for it. There will always be theives, just like there will always be religion and always prejudice. It's something you cannot get rid of. You can't fight an idea.

I think it goes the same for terrorism. It's too tied up in religion, you can't beat it. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't deal out punishment or vengence.(not for religion, for terrorism)*whew, close one*

You can't kill an idea.

Since power slipped through the american people's hands, the whole government is socialist as for as i'm concerned. Both parties are at fault.
They are both socialist in their own quirky little ways.

They both lie and mix lies with things we want to believe. Thats what makes us believe in them.
Choose the good and override what they want to hide from us.

We need a regime change.

Perhaps my dear Watson.... But what makes you so sure? I, for one think that America should expect the unexpected. Perhaps, after WW2 The commies and the Nazis got together for a little secret talk. Who knows why Rudolf Hess was kept contained ? I sure don't. Maybe...Maybe...All of a sudden America appears to be left against right. A squeeze play?
