I have watched the daily mass on EWTN several times. At a certain point the priest begins talking in Latin(usually around the time of the catholic eucharist presentation). I would like to know what the priest is saying in the english translation.

I've tried to do google searches and haven't come up with anything.

I would appreciate the help.

I do not know myself, unless you mean the words of consecration. Although I think they say a private prayer that is contained in the Latin missal.

Here email this brother Michael.

[email protected]

they will let you know.

It's hard to tell from your description. One thing is Latin is not used in the modern mass, so I'm not sure where is the ceremony your talking about.

Is it before or after the priest holds up the bread and wine?

As the previous poster, Cug, noted, Latin is no longer used in the Catholic Liturgy of the Mass.

The Latin Mass is still used, however. The Mass can be celebrated in Latin with permission from the local diocesan bishop.

I cannot tell you for certain what you might have seen or heard on the telecast of the Roman Catholic Mass that you viewed but, if it's any help, here is the total Liturgy of the Mass in English
