Anyone caught the new Pixar short? It's kind of a drivers training type feel where the lil Alien is working all these buttons, trying to move the human abductee out through the window and failing. The instructor Alien keeps a hard straight face and marks his clip board for every wrong move the lil guy makes.

The short plays before the movie Ratatoiulle (is that spelled anywhere near correct?!?!?)

Anyway, just another main stream example of breaking the public in for the big day ;-)

Ya I saw it it was funny especially when he smashes to the floor and all thats left is a crater and his bed
I thought it was a weird little cartoon to show for a kids show but they did a good job on it

Also saw that thing on the transformers at the end when they interview the mom and dad about the "aliens" they say "the government wouldnt lie to us" and kind of mock them I thought it was a kinda poke at the Government itself to let them know a lot of people already know so its kind of dumb to try and keep it quiet.

I thought it was funny. The little one kept trying to do it and it didn't work. He just kept trying.

What's stranger, ufos or rats cooking for humans???

I want to see this one, is it downloadable. I tried to search for it but came empty handed.

[Edit] According to pixars official website it's called 'lifted'.

Not yet, it's still new so to speak. If it's out there I'll find it by the weekend. I have the movie @ my job so I see it at least twice a day...

Did anyone else besides me notice all the UFO and alien refferences in the animated movie "Happy Feet"? I was surprised
...It really does seem like the masses are being conditioned for 'the big day'...especially at the end of the movie, where the characters say something about the "aliens" (humans), then the camera zooms out looking down on them, then farther out until Antartica is visible, then from a satellite altittude, then it zooms out to where the Earth is a speck in the galaxy. This is followed by multiple glimmers of light coming from Earth AND a lot of other places in the picture. The movie ends with that sequence.

new reporter" do you think the governemnt would lie about aliens"

parents" what no, ofcourse not they would surelly tell the people"

and they acted like the government was their freind and everything it was really funny

I see it as a tool they are using for the general population to become acclimated to Alien thinking so to speak. Doesn't mean there are really aliens, doesn't mean that disclosure is happening. It could be that we're just in a time period where anything "alien" related is selling well.

But my opinion is leaning towards something big on the horizon, and they don't want everyone freaking out like they did when Orson Wells told everyone we were being invaded lol!

There simply is too much talk, witnesses and such to simply ignore the whole Alien subject. My mother in law came in while I was watching the Larry King thing at her house (we choose to have no TV at home so it was a great night to flip through channels and find that on!!) and she responded as to don't I watch anything normal, or all whacky stuff! Hmm, gee, didn't you notice it was on Larry King (major network), that there is a retired astronaut speaking on the subject, an ex-mayor, etc.??? Gee, who's the whacky one? The one that listens, or the one that writes it off as loony!

In time, you know I will be telling her the big fat "I told you so", but I'm in no hurry, I can wait ;-) I've got enough foil hats for the whole family, so I'm the one that is prepared!

Isn't it more likely that this is just another mainstream example of how the public doesn't take this stuff seriously? I somehow doubt the government has a hand in every movie, commercial, or short film that mentions aliens or abductions.

Good point, and I would think they (the gov) don't. Whatever the reason, it does seem that the Alien subject matter has it's hot spots, and I'd say we're in one now. The reason for it is as elusive as the very subject matter ;-)

I noticed there appears to a be a good few UFO/alien related themes in my son's collection of manga films. In Vampire Hunter D, near the beginning, there are balls of light that fly down, kill cattle, and strip them of flesh. In another one there are creatures that pass by the action and look like flying "rods", I think it's called Castle in the Sky. In Princess Mononoke there are little creatures in the woods that look very much like greys. In each of the films the bits I've described have little or nothing to do with the story, but you can't miss them.

I ain't seen it, but the again, I ain' gotta TV!

I think the government is slowly spoon-feeding
us info that'll make way for a subdued invasion.

Not me though! If it bleeds, we can kill it.
Listen to me, teach yer kids to hate 'em HATE 'EM.
If you tolerate this, then... well you know the words.

I'm a bit like the guy out of Tremours, the one who couldn't get
another acting job in another movie.
He's a survivalist with loads of money, (his wife left him).
So stock up with ammo, (call 'em shells, I like it when you
call 'em shells), beans and loo roll.

They're comin' and the fits gonna hit the shan (it did in my rec-room).
You gotta listen to me... They're gonna come in here, come here and...
Deal with it Hudson, I'm gettin' real tired of your bullsh*t.

Someone mentioned doubting that the government could have a hand in what goes into films... If you know a little about how hollywood works, you would know that the real big fat cats in hollywood who finance all these multi-million dollar films have a lot of power... they often decide what movies gets done. They sometimes buy a script, only to hoard it, or to simply keep it from ever being made into a film (to mess with competition, also). These guys are typically really well connected with all kinds of people, including elites of various fields.
Maybe I have been on this site for too long
...but I think its not much of a stretch to think that these immensely rich hollywood film financiers to have ties to high-up politicians and or government agents/ contacts.

Very well put, Unplugged. It seems like a really paranoid notion, until you consider it in those terms, then it seems completely logical, and even likely.
