Louisiana Senator's number on escort service list

news.yahoo.com

WASHINGTON - Sen. David Vitter, R-La., apologized Monday night for "a very serious sin in my past" after his telephone number appeared among those associated with an escort service operated by the so-called "D.C. Madam."

Vitter's spokesman, Joel Digrado, confirmed the statement in an e-mail sent to The Associated Press.

You have to wonder how many politicos will get caught up in this net. How did they expect this stuff would never see the light of day?

So what? Its merely another nail in the Republican coffin.

This news hits Rudy Giulinai the most. Yet another advisor goes down.

First Bernie Kerik turns out to be too shady for Homeland Security. Then Rudy's guy in SC turns out to be a coke dealer. Now this guy, a philanderer - while promoting Christian values.

Gimme a break.

Yet something else that can be added to Republican family values along the likes of Gay Hookers. If this guy had an differnt label next to his name people would be calling for his head. But hey if your Republican you will be forgiven for anything providing you mention God and that your sorry.

Wow, I'm surprised. I mean, after all the times they raped little kids they now get caught with a woman? You'd think the GOP would be shouting this from the moutain tops. "We finally had sex with an adult woman!!!!!"

I am from Louisiana, and a Republican that voted for David Vitter.

I am calling for David Vitter's resignation, effective immediately.

In 1999 Representative from Louisiana Robert Livingston, was set to become Speaker of the House. A simple affair was discovered involving Livingston. Livingston not only gave up the Speaker of the House position, he retired from Congress.

David Vitter needs to resign, it's the Republican thing to do! Leave this type of conduct for the Democrats...they have the press on their side to smooth things over anyways. As a Republican, Vitter will be demonized and ridiculed at every turn.

For those of you think he might get away with it simply because he is a Republican...I got 2 words for you...Teddy Kennedy.

Im surprised there's anyone left in the Republican party whose got an ounce of shame. Shame enough to resign from office.

This is the most lawless presidential administration and rubber stamp congresses I have ever seen. They make Nixon look better (a feat previously thot impossible).

At least this will further dillute the Republican minority.

Honestly I don't think this is something that should have even be an issue period.

What two people do in such cases is there business and no one else's.

Personally I'm calling for the Madame who released it to be put in prison for violation of
privacy charges.

iori, remember that this is about moral issues and the pushing of religious views.

This particular senator made a big stink about Clinton and his extramarital affairs bringing conservatism and religious moral to view.

Now he is caught with his pants down and looking more immoral that Clinton ever did.

I think that anybody that makes such a fuss and a business with using religion and morality to point fingers should be exposed.

Under normal circumstances I would agree with you but you have to remember that these are people that blasted Clinton for his personal flaws. These are also the people that want to hijack society with there extremist Christian ideals. The hypercritical nature of there stance has to be exposed.

One should never set standards that one cant live up to.

Clinton should have resigned, as should Vitter. This is not just about immorality, it's about National Security. Makes me wonder if Clinton did all the special favors for China in return for keeping quiet? You never know? Especially with Clinton.

If Vitter does not resign soon, we'll have to put up with him till 2010, then he will be replaced. He will not win re-election.

Once again, David Vitter needs to do the right thing (the Republican thing) and resign.

Really RR you seem to forget that the Republican thing to do is take some time off and claim to be save and forgiven by Jesus.

See I don't care if he is republican or democrat but please do not try to use the Jesus forgive me card on the voters.

That is what David Vitter is doing.

Kind of like Mark Foley? "Yes I rape little boys, but Jesus Saved me!" Who saved the little boys? Not the GOP who covered up for Mark since 1996.

Vitter's a lucky man. Interestingly, his wife wife once made this comment when asked about Hillary's forgiveness of Bill's escapades:

“I’m a lot more like Lorena Bobbitt than Hillary,” Wendy Vitter told Newhouse News. “If he does something like that, I’m walking away with one thing, and it’s not alimony, trust me.”

“I think fear is a very good motivating factor in a marriage,” she added. “Don’t put fear down.”

Apparently, he wasn't scared enough... And apparently, she changed her mind...

And yes, I couldn't care less what he does within his marriage, but it's the hypocrisy that has shadowed this government that's just so amazing!

Foley didn't rape anyone, unlike Bill Clinton. Who covered up for Bill Clinton?

www.newsmax.com.../10/2/43829

Few outside the White House, the OIC, Paula Jones’ legal team, and news editors currently keeping this story bottled up know how damaging Jane Doe #5's story really is. For the story that Jane Doe #5, a.k.a. Juanita Broaddrick, no longer denies is the story she told her Arkansas friends years ago: that Bill Clinton, while state attorney general, brutally raped her in a Little Rock hotel room after she had enlisted to work in his first gubernatorial campaign.

In the future when you make baseless claims try adding a link, otherwise you look like the typical hate-mongering liberal.

Well, perhaps not. He just fondled little boys. That's SO much better, right, RR?
