Iran, Venezuela in \"axis of unity\" against U.S

www.reuters.com

ASSALOUYEH, Iran (Reuters) - The presidents of Iran and Venezuela launched construction of a joint petrochemical plant on Monday, strengthening an "axis of unity" between two oil-rich nations staunchly opposed to the United States.

This isn't really "conspiracy" related, but check out this scenerio.....Israel attacks Iran (which is very possible). Russia, who is diplomatically obligated to defend Iran, counter-attacks Israel.
The U.S., which is diplomatically obligated to defend Israel, hits back at Russia.
China (since they have been publicly conjoining military exercises together with Russia) backs Russia.
Most of the large nations of Europe have already shown their hatred for America...sides with The already "acting" coalation of nations against The U.S.
Last but not least...Latin communist America also joins to fight America.
It would literally be the world vs. America.
Does anyone here see this as a possibility?

If this scenario will occur , i think UE will back USA.
they have something against Rusia, the relations beetween them aren't that good especially since the gas scandal earlier this year if i remember right.

and from everything i know about international politics many european countries are more close to usa than russia.

Israel attacks Iran, Iran asks Russia for help, Russia says, "Sucks for you guys, but we still have China." Why? Because no one wants an all out war, and would it really be all that surprising if Israel got away with doing something ridiculous once again? Russia would probably complain and make threats, and I'm sure many other nations would be pretty pissed off as well(unless we magically found a dozen nuclear warheads aimed at major cities). Other than that, I don't see full-scale war happening. Europe will back America until it's America vs. The EU. It's in both of their best interests to work together.

And really, if you're going to name your alliance something, don't call it the axis of anything. After years of playing video games and watching movies, the axis and the coalition are always the bad guys (Coalition of the Willing, anyone?).

Russia wouldn't risk so much as to openly defend Iran. They would get logistical and technical support, maybe, but not troops. Not unless there is a massive shift in the current situation. Also, I was only aware of Syria having a defence pact with Iran, not Russia. The SCO is not a mutual defence treaty and Iran is only an observer nation, before you mention it.

I wasn't aware that the US was "obligated" to defend Israel at all. In fact, I do not believe they are in any shape nor form. They just "support" them.

So? The UK holds exercises with Oman, but we're hardly likely to jump into their next war

What are you smoking? The big EU nations don't "hate" America. Where did you get this silly idea from?

Also the EU would prefer to sit and watch and try not to get involved. The UK on the other hand may well get dragged in. But, if Russia and China want to play ball, the EU is obligated via NATO to defend the USA.

Communist? What reality did you just step out of? No. It wouldn't be the World Vs the USA.

Maybe we should create a forum for fantasy global war scenarios that are NEVER going to occur?

It is just a business deal as far as I can see. I dont see why everything has to be labeled an "axis" of anything. Just rhetoric as far as I can tell.

When the US and eruopean nations work together on business deals, they are called agreements and contracts. When Anyone esle does it, it is an axis hell bent on destroying the world? Whats up with that?

If this happened then somebody needs to bring america down from within and the problem is over since we are the ones who started the whole mess the world is in as of today.

LOL...Damn!! It was a "scenerio", Thats all. As far as America "backing" Israel...we have many times on many fronts. OK, maybe not "diplomatically" but we have. (I could copy-n-paste some sources when I get more time)
The reason why I brought the Russia/china connection into the picture was because yes...a war with either (or both) nation[s] is VERY possible. Have you looked into China's war doctrin? Is it really a suprise that both militaries have been working together? Since the pentagon see's this as a threat...I figured I would throw this "scenerio" into the mix as well.

LOL @ "forum for fantasy global war scenarios". I've read about reptilians in human skin-suites on ATS (lol)...I don't think my post would come off as far-fetched.

What are you smoking? The big EU nations don't "hate" America

Um...what? Are you serious? The "big" E.U. nations have publicaly & verbally expressed their hatred towards the U.S. numerous times. That fact that you would say they like us...boggles me. (I could post an unlimited number of statements made by European goverments that are obviously anti-American) Go to France, Germany, or our "friends" in the UK wearing an American flag. Hell, Go to Canada wearing an American flag. See what they call you. I'm not saying that EVERYONE hates us...but collectively....it's transparently clear that Many nations want us out of the driver's seat. Thus...a "U.S. vs. the World" scenerio doesn't seem that crazy...whether you agree with it or not.

I dont see why everything has to be labeled an "axis" of anything. Just rhetoric as far as I can tell.

Ur probly right. The word "axis" was pasted from the Reuters news clipping.

Communist? (latin america) What reality did you just step out of?

Man, I should start a whole new thread about this....
Some (not all) South American are [or becoming] communist nations. - Which IS a threat to the interest of the United States.

After World War II many Third World countries in Latin America seemed to have some interest in the political system of the Soviets. Communism, the system in which production and distribution of goods is owned by the government and shared by all, was the idea that seemed to benefit the people of small Latin American countries like Nicaragua and El Salvador. The United States was aware of this happening, and that is when it became more involved in Latin America.
Since the 1960’s the US was already concerned with the threat that communism would bring to other non-communist countries in Latin America. When Fidel Castro, the dictator of Cuba from 1959-present, declared the government Communist in 1961; President of the U.S. John F. Kennedy planned an invasion to overthrow Fidel Castro. The invasion was held by U.S. supported Cuban rebels that ended up in a disaster on April 17, 1961. The U.S. was determined to keep communism from spreading into Latin America, this was not an easy task to do because Cuba was allied to the Soviet Union. While in Nicaragua a communist party was gaining power due to the dictatorship of Somoza Garcia which initiated two years after the assassination of General Augusto Ceasar Sandino in 1934.
(just a small list of countries who are/ or are becoming members of the communist party due to the heavy influence of the former soviet.
Cuba
Nicaragua
Panama
Venezuela
El Salvador
Colombia
Honduras
Guatemala
