When did Hollywood get it right?

I was wondering if there was a general consensus on what Hollywood films and programs are the most accurate in portraying Aliens/UFOs. Was E.T. greys really look or what about the reptilians in V. The list is endless so your thoughts please on which ones are accurate?

Hmm... since i have not every studied the habits of how aliens act, i have nothing to base that on, all i hope is that they are not like the ones in Independence day.

My first choice would have to be "They Live"

followed by...


"V"
"Fire in the sky"
"Communion"

I always got the general impression over the years from people connected with the field that Close Encounters and E.T. seemed to be a fair representation - don't forget Reagans "You know, there aren’t six people in this room who know how true this really is."

They live is the best, if you take the aliens away and replace with the nwo, and there controllers who ever they are.

For me steven spielberg gets told alot of truths, but he mixes it with non truths to make his movies.

At the end of the day what is a truth. like the chinese proverb

"Get three people to tell a lie and it becomes a truth".

Transformers the new movie talks a lot about gov't hiding alien technology and reverse engineering alien tech. I know its about giant robots but there were elements of real truth in there, i was rather surprised.

Hey no more talk about Transformers I havnt seen it yet and I dont wanna know anything about the film

supposedly, a government insider told Spielberg that the aliens in Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind were 'too close to the truth' so they were forced to change the design in his next alien movie - E.T.

Just a rumor though.

Although Serpio was found to be a hoax Close Encounters does portray at the end humans taking part in an exchange programme. Makes you think !!
