First off, the official website is extremely empty. No pictures of this device. No explanation of how it works. No explanation of whom was researching this. Etc.

Secondly, the cancellation the demonstration yesterday is extremely suspect. Heat from overhead lights caused it to shut down? Then how do they expect to power vehicles that will be under constant heat from the sun?

Third of all, please read these quotes:

It absolutely smells fishy- but I'm not willing to write the whole matter off as a hoax just yet.

Yes the website is a bit sparse- but just because they have a lousy website doesn't make them hoaxers.

The cancellation of the demonstration is really fishy as well, but from what I have read the demonstration device was made out of some form of Plexiglases which could very well have been affected by heat. Someone named Keeval pointed out in another thread that "the demo device was made specially for the demo, it was designed so that it would not show any critical parts and obscure it's mechanism so that Steorn protected their IP, but could still show a demo. As a result they could not just replace it with another working model". Yes the cancellation is very fishy, but it is plausible that they did indeed encounter some legitimate setbacks.

Thirdly, just because the CEO was quoted as calling their approach a publicity stunt, does not mean that we are dealing with a hoax. In all honesty, it is a publicity stunt. The purpose of a publicity stunt is to get attention, and for that matter it worked fairly well. There are a good number of eyes watching this thing- which is the point- get it out in front of the public and some serious scientists.

I want to believe that this thing is for real. I don't care if I look like a fool if it turns out to be a hoax. I'm willing to give it a little more time before I jump ship.

I watched this thing/event unfold think, what Joseph Newman mover to Ireland? But no, this one did not even have a simple picture are drawing. At least I got to see Newman's machine in person with some results.

If anything Museum Kinectica got some attention as it does show real works of electronic and mechanical art.

I'm real interested in the state of free energy affairs at the moment, it seems like 'the powers that be' are beginning to introduce the zero point stuff into the public domain, after the lockheed bomber started using some (almost) anti-grav (i think using ionisation somehow) techniques, we have seen a real increase in the whole free energy and anti grav stuff (which go hand in hand), I'm just concerned that there is a further plan for the recent zero-point energy promotions, after all, this Irish team has not invented anything MANY towns in the U.S. already are using, and Tesla was coming up with the ideas over 100 years ago nearly! Do people feel that the promotion of zero-point energy has anything to do with the whole 'global warming' game and also the 'hybrid' car stuff or is it just another one of those interesting synchronicities?

I think you guys should already know that such a device is not allowed to exist and the oil-bank elite will do their best to make this device fail.

This technology was and is available since the XIX century. The oil elite will do their best to kill, buy and destroy this "invention".

It is very unlikely they will succed when there are such great forces against them, I wish they would win this battle, but the last one who tried was killed.

I am sure they were contacted by numerous "sheiks", oil barons and bankers to stop their development. This is why they delay things... They might even get offers like: "Here, take 1 billion $ and shut up, say your invention doesn't work!"

It is a bit earley to call hoax. I know you are only guessing, but imagine your life depends on the right answer. You might not be so quick to judge.

I know these things exist, and we need to stop the childish responses. Give them time to play out.

If there is a hoax in here, it will show in the end result. I would be surprised if you even bet one penny on your pick.

Anyone who actually had such technology would be aware they could make far more money with it than what any Sheik could offer. I dont know if their claim is real, there is way too little info to even try to decide. But all the delays and cancellations do smell fishy.
