I figure their should be some differing tastes here since there are so many to choose from.

Mine is Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight. I couldn't find the original version, but I found this one of Paul McCartney and some all-star rockers.

Peace

Thats such a great song Dr. Love.

There is no way can I possibly pick one favorite Beatles song. lol I have every album they ever made and love them all like my own children. It just so happens that I was listening to "For No One" just now, I'll post a vid....It's so pure and beautiful...

And I absolutely love the guitar and chord changes in "Please Please Me"...It's genius.

How about "yesterday".

I'm going to be LOVING this thread.

Oh man that's a good one. Found a vid for you.

No doubt it's one of the best.

Edit: I think I need to get a Beatles avatar going.

My favourite Beatles song is Dear Prudence. I could listen to it all day long.

My second favourite would be Maxwell's Silver Hammer. I can't resist the combination of such a macabre little song being set to such upbeat music.

Hard not to like all the above choices..

All you Need is Love.
That song, with it's mixed time signature, has always intrigued me.
So, It's one of my all time Favorites.

"There's nothing you can do, that can't be done."

You guys are right, it's hard to have just one favorite. This is 1A.

The Long and Winding Road

Sad Lyrics. I'm not sure, but I read somewhere that this song was about Paul and John's innability to find common ground and/or Paul's problems with Yoko.

Edit: My mom saw the Beatles live in '65 at the Hollywood Bowl. She said it was hard to hear anything.

Peace

Adding a few Beatles tunes. While not MY fav's they could be yours, just forgot them being as old as they are:

Do You Want to Know a Secret(John and Yoko lovefest here):

You're Going to Lose that Girl:

Don't smoke kids.

Eleanor Rigby:

When I'm 64:

Ass kicking tune, Back in the USSR:

While my Guitar Gently Weeps(George's song)

I think I saw Jeff Lynne and Eric Clapton here.

Did the Beatles get harder than Helter Skelter?

Revolution:

I really like this one.

Trying to pick a favorite Beatles song is like trying to decide which of my children I love the best; I just can't pick one that I absolutely like better than all the rest. However, I do have one song that is especially meaningful to me on a personal basis and that is:

Within You And Without You

It's not just the music which is transcendentally beautiful, at least IMO; it's also the message that is so heavy and deep that it sometimes makes me weep.
