bonjour. For a long time now I've been focused on getting a 350z. My cousin just got one and I went for a ride in it. I like..immediately fell in love. And I'm going in the navy and I'm going to be making a lot of money. So my cousin was like well this is good, but in a couple years they're coming out with the new skyline and its available in the US. He said it would wipe the floor with his 350 so I was wondering what info my fellow atsers have about this car.

You going in the Navy and going to make a lot of money?
I didn't think that was possible.

anyway,

I too like the 350Z, talked to the wife about it last summer and 2 more years on my current vehicle and I'll probably get one.

good luck.

It happens, i have big dreams. Anywayyy...my cousin has a 350z, and it is amazing. 120 like nothing. Then I started looking into the GT-R. I think that I'll opt for the GT-R. If what theyre saying is right, this things going to tool on the z.

Isnt this basically the new version of the Nissan Skyline?

From what I have heard and seen on websites, this car is going to be a total moster, and I think it is going to wipe the floor with the Z. Looks of a G, and power of a skyline?

The Nissan GT-R's come in numerous flavors.

Yes, they will all tool on a stock 350z. The New GT-R's beat Ferrari Enzo's around the Nurburgring, among numerous other six figure super cars which they also beat.

They all use the VR38DETT (D- Dual Overhead Cam, E- Electronically Fuel Injected, TT- Twin Turbo) V6 engine and those engines are only used in GT-R's.

Depending on which year you get, you could have 480hp up to 545hp stock. You're going to be looking at a pretty penny to buy one new. The newer models sell new at about $100,000.

Used GT-R's typically go from $55,000-75,000.

For the price though, it's a great deal, considering the previous mention of how the newer GT-R's beat Ferrari Enzo's and other super cars around Nurburgring.

Cheers.

I have a turbo charged Z puts down about 456 hp and 427 tq. It is an awesome vehicle on all fronts. I have also put nearly 40k in parts in it (that's with me doing all the work, no labor$) I am friends with the owner of the local Nissan dealer and he has an GT-R. I went to High Plains Raceway (road racing) and Bandimere (1/4 mile drag strip) with him. It's a bad @zz car right out of the box. If you like building, do a Z. You could easily hit 500hp and have all the supporting parts to also make it handle like a dream. You could probably do it for $35k with the car purchase. If you have 70K you could probably pick up a used GT-R. You might be able to talk me outta mine for 20K!
