First of all, I'm new so hi everybody.
I've got a question about the Sukhoi T-4 the Russians built in response to the XB-70. From what I know, it only had ten flights and was designed to
reach mach 3, but only reached Mach 1.3 in testing. It is also believed that it set a 2000 km circuit record of Mach 1.89. Do you think that this
aircraft was maybe cancelled because it couldn't reach its M3 goal and the Russians never disclosed the aircraft that set the record because if they
did, it would have shown that the T-4 couldn't cruise at Mach 3? So, since the Mig-25 was also not really a M3 plane, do you think that the Soviets
ever had a legit Mach 3 aircraft?
