Rosie O'Donnell Posts Photo, Video of 4-Year-Old Daughter Dressed as Guerrilla Fighter With Bullet Bandolero

Unemployed gabfest queen Rosie O'Donnell, who last went to war with Elisabeth Hasselbeck only to retreat from her position on "The View," has drafted a reinforcement in the form of her waif-like 4-year-old daughter Vivienne Rose, better known as "Vivi."

"Art can't hurt u," she said to one person who called her "sick." "Art provokes," she said to another who begged her to take the picture down.

This woman is nuts, I hope she never works in the media again.

I've taken some pretty offensive photos in my life, and painted art that was offensive. To some people at least -- I did a series of Barbie pornography for instance.

It's just a picture, I don't see what the problem is. Art is meant to provoke.

I'm not a fan of Rosie O'Donnell, she grates on my nerves, but it's just a picture. I can't be the one to throw stones, not after what I did to Barbie.

Character assassination folks. It's an effective trick used to discredit people. It only works on the weak minded.

I'm just saying.

Peace

No sane person would dress their little child up this way for any reason.

She really has lost it. I just wish the press would stop paying attention to her, just let her fade away into nothingness which is what she really is.

Would a sane person dress their child up in cabbages?

How about as a lion?

Or a Marine?

And elevatedone, don't forget to post your source... FOX News

I think it's a cool picture. Art is in the eye of the beholder. Yes, it's provocative. Yes, it makes people think. I think it's amazing!

Barbie porn rocks!!

I rearranged my friends mum's Lladro figurines once and the titled it with a hand written place card.

"Orgy on the fireplace"

Hit the roof - She blew tha damm house apart!

I've dressed my kid up as all sorts, so what: more media BS.

Sorry BH but this isn't art. It's child abuse.

No 4 year old knows enough to ask to be dressed as a killer terrorist. She's using her 4 year old and frankly it's disgusting. Rosie is also very vocal about being anti-gun rights. Yet she allows herself armed body guards and dresses her four year old in guns and bullets. Hypocrisy.

(guess only she is allowed to protect herself ..the rest of us Americans aren't important enough to be allowed guns for self protection. )

No infant knows how to ask to be dressed as a cabbage, either. Yet, is that child abuse? Is dressing your baby boy as a sailor child abuse?

People put all kinds of ridiculous things on their children. Yet it's only "'child abuse" when the BEHOLDER decides it is. Putting this outfit on the child doesn't hurt her AT ALL. If it did, Rosie would be in trouble.

People have been using their children as reflections of their thoughts for eons.

Yes, I know. And I agree with you 100% about that. She's a hypocrite when it comes to the subject of firearm ownership. But that's a different subject than this war.

Okay. Good point. hmmmm .... I'll think about it.

Perhaps saying 'child abuse' is too much .. but at the same time she's using her four year old for her own reasons and the outfit isn't because the four year old wants it or because it's 'cute' or anything.

I find it vile. So perhaps my displeasure at the sight of it is clouding my thoughts .. but I definately don't see it as 'art'.

I will agree with that! I dont like Rosie.. Infact I think she has been manipulated to discredit many people, and their thoughts.. She is the last person I would want as the "voice" of reason..
I remember the times when everyone would pick on her and I can say everyone was laughing.. But Im not laughing anymore, becasue now suddenly she is the poster child for the "truth".. What a bunch of BS..
Those who control the manipulation are very clever!!!
So clever infact that they knew to have Roise in her place now..
Its sad really, she is the last person I would want to speak for me..
So to say, what she says does not reflect how I feel..

Now, I have photo's of my son dressed as a pilot, fisherman, yacht man (cause it's not a sailor suit, but rather nautical), and a cowboy outfit. He's 3 in all, and he's cute as a button. If that's child abuse, then cart me off to the clink.

I do find what she has her daughter wear as drawing a line between cute and grotesque. It's distasteful, and done for her own publicity. It's one thing to paint objectionable images, or to photograph them in the name of art.... I don't think Rosie did this in the name of art. It's just another way of her getting her fix on publicity. In my opinion, USING A CHILD FOR THAT IS WRONG!!!

I would think that should be monitored, cause I'm sure it could lead to some child abuse. Simply cause.... where does that end??

I don't really see anything wrong with it either.
At least not the act of dressing up a kid, as something else.

BUT..I have a problem with USING that child to get your OWN point, and/or opinion across. Especially on the heels of Rosie's public tirades.
She may regret later that she used her own child as a billboard.

Yep shes crackers!
I would never advocate for my child to adorn such negative attire!
Especially in light of all the negativity Rosie had had her way lately.
She should treat her kids to some much needed R@R someplace very peacefull and calm and safe. A remote island or something. Not parade them like messages of death. Sad.

Jessica what you did is not in light of millions hating you. What you did is very very cute!

I think Rosie's a pig and can't stand her mouth and I don't agree with her using her child as a way to make a statement, however the attire isn't much different from when kids used to dress up as army guys or cowboys and indians....

While she's rotten for using this as political fodder, so are the people on the opposite side that are over-reacting and using it as political fodder.

Maybe if everyone would just ignore her stupidity, she'd just fade "quietly" (or more like kicking and screaming) away. :shk:

I think it has a surreal quality--a meek little fair-skinned Anglo female dressed in the trappings of brutality. I'd call it art.

For the most part the only thing about that picture i find to be offensive is that Rosie will apparently exploit her children to start a controversy inorder to further her own career. The last couple of years it has been really sad to watch just how low she is willing to go to garner the slightest bit of attention.

Parents often dress up their children to fulfill their agendas.
I can't condone it.
Jon Benet Ramsey comes to mind
