Are others sharing your dreams? is the thread that prompted me to post this;

Really weird dream the other night, and seeing how i've gotten mixed meanings from all the other sites i've looked at I was wondering what ATSer's might think.

I've had two such dreams I can recall, wherein the dream consisted of my interaction with rather pretty, and extremely dead girls.

I don't recall much of the first one, as it happened a good while ago and I wrote it off as any other nightmare. I do recall that the girl was pretty, blond, and quite dead. Rotting zombie type dead. She had some type of obvious attraction to me, which I refused to reciprocate... she being dead and all.

The other night however it was a really strange experience that I can't seem to just 'forget' as easily. I do not recall what led me to encounter her or anything prior in the dream, until I began speaking with a pretty, young, dark haired girl. Normally this would have been a pretty good dream, but the back of her skull was forcibly smashed in. Again, she had some type of attraction towards me, and began explaining her situation. I recall she was killed, and quite maimed in some sort of accident involving a train. I don't recall exactly how, and I get the feeling thinking back that I didn't press the issue with her either. I do recall she told me she was in no pain, but nontheless was quite distraught. At my mention of why she has not 'passed', she said something along the lines of thats a place she was not trying to go to? I can't recall the exact wordings. When I mentioned God she referred to him as "the big guy", and seemed to have a similar dislike for the topic.
I really can't recall much more... and any opinions on the matter are appreciated, it's been nagging at me for the better part of a week now.

Dreams occur in REM sleep, and as far as we can scientifically tell, involves the creation of new neuro-pathways allowing the transference of short term memory, from the frontal lobs, to the long term memory. This is why one of the symptoms of folks who get decreased REM sleep is memory loss. Often we will find that things that we do, see, or experience throughout the day are incorporated in dreams as they get wired into long tem memory. Sometimes subconscious things are a part of that process.

With this in mind; have you been somehow watching, reading, or interested with something along those lines. Examples being: watching a lot of zombie movies, CSI, or reading a lot about some murder case in the news?

Perhaps an even more apt interpretation is…
Death in dreams is, according to most psychologists, more about change then actual death. Is it possible that in the back of your mind you’re considering a relationship change in the near future, or going through something which would give you cold feet to whatever relationship you’re currently involved in? It is also just as possible that you once dated a lot, and now are with a person who you wish to be with on a deeper level, so you’re dreaming of the death of your pervious dating around lifestyle. Either way though it sounds like its about change, and that change is somehow related to romantic relationships, at least that is how it sounds to me.

Edit to add:

Death Dreams
Consistent symbol for change and separation in dreams, that should not be interpreted literally. Dreams of a child, sibling, or parent dying reflect change in our perception of that relationship. Old qualities of the person are “passing away,” new qualities are being recognized. Dreams of death of an ex-lover reflect separation of the relationship. Mothers of toddlers often dream of accidents, including death, befalling a child. The dreams are not precognitive. Rather, a mother’s concern for her child’s safety, represented by the accident, never rests!
Dreaming of one’s own death (a dreamer may witness his or her funeral, or may “just know” that he or she has died) symbolizes an inner metamorphosis and an evolution of development. Old ways of perceiving are passing away; new self-discoveries are being made. The dream is a symbol of transition.

Death Dreams
Remember that dreams of death, while they may be frightening at times, actually portend great things: mystery, the unknown, and transformation. While change is often scary, it is good to remember Meister Eckhart. Eckhart said that it is our perspective that matters most when we die. If we are attached to everything around us, we see devils ripping us apart. But if we are at peace all we see are angels freeing us from everything that hold us back.

I hope that is of some help to you…

Interesting, I had a similar dream to that, long ago. All I remember was that I was talking to an attractive female that was way past her expiration date along with the attraction.

Now if only I could remember what had happened around that time I could be of further help...

Well, when people see God in the actual form that he is, it is very frightening I imagine, at least initially. The bible is quite clear that no man can see the true form of God and live. It also states that angels are terrifying. So, perhaps the second girl that you spoke to was just temporarily afraid of what she was going to be entering.

As far as t why you are having dreams like this, I really have no idea.
It would rattle me a little, if I was having similar dreams.

I remember what took place when I had this dream. The female I saw in the dream commited suicide some months past.

It's possible that you were channeling these girls before they stepped into whatever it is after death.

I appreciate the replies. It was a really unsettling thing is all I know about it. I Haven't had a dream like it again thus far. The strange thing was, on waking usually I know a normal dream by "feel". These just felt... "off" somehow.

I worked with a guy that always boasted about himself and talked about "how much of a man he was." Like how many girls he has been with and all that kind of tough/big man stuff. Always talking about him being able to "handle his business" We never got along because i couldnt care less about pretty much everything. One day he disappeared. He was missing for three days. A co-worker went out to the place where we would burn off scrap wood that the company couldnt use anymore and found him. He had blown out his brains which i found quite hilarious. (i have a very dark/cynical sense of humor.)

Anyways, about 3 months later i had a few of dreams where me and him were sitting and talking and working. I dont remember what exactly what the dreams were about or what was said. But i do remember in the last one that he was trying to put me down and i told him "F-off, im alive and he was a lame joke when he was alive and now he is just a fading memory." The dream ended right after i said that. After that i never had another dream with him in it.

Id like to also add that when i was about 10 years old i had a very wierd dream...i was laying on the floor watching tv and looked at the front door that was open and there was a girl standing there staring at me. Then all of a sudden she turned and walked away out of sight. Still in the dream i jumped up and chased after her but she was gone. I woke up after this and it was so extremely real that had to go outside and look around. I still rember it very clearly. After 15 years i still sometimes think about that girl i saw.

I do think that those that have died can enter people dreams but for some reason it isnt a common occurance.
