Hey everyone, kind of new here.. just signed up last night.

Anyways, I want to address something which I've basically been feeling throughout my life (I'm currently 20 yrs old). For example, I've always felt some sort of connection with the sky.. I look at it and feel sudden bliss overcome me. Even when I was about 5 years old, I remember I would wake up in the morning and stare at the morning sky from my porch; it is such a pleasant and healing experience for me. It's not just the sky but I feel extremely blissful when I'm outside. I have also felt this connection with nature my whole life. I'm extremely sensitive to emotions as well. This may sound a bit weird, but I can almost sense other people's emotions, and sometimes it makes me want to cry even though I may not even know that person. I get attached to people easily, however I end up being disappointed many times, because they aren't the person I expected them to be. I hate the idea of money, but unfortunately it's the only way to make a living.. however, I feel we would be better off without it. I am uncertain about my future, however I feel deep inside that it all doesn't matter because a huge change is coming for humanity from an outside force soon which will positively change life on earth for the better. My parents think I'm a bit crazy because I think so differently. They go to work, come home, eat dinner, watch some tv, sleep.. they live a robotic lifestyle and I find this way of living to be completely unacceptable for myself. Is there anyone here that feels like this? I'm just looking for someone who I can relate to
.. I feel like such an outsider because none of my friends and family are like this; they all act like normal people going on with their lives, while I'm always waiting for that huge change to come which I feel deep inside.

Just a question. Do you consider yourself to be religious? It sounds as though your experiences could be spiritual, in the religious sense.

I think this is more of a question you should be contemplation on rather than asking others as it is your own personal experiences. Only you know the answer friend. But whats odd is everything you describe is very similar to how I have felt emotionally in the past and even to this day just not that deep anymore.

nope, I'm not religious. I believe there may be a greater power at work (creation of planets and all life on it, etc.), but I'm not religious like my parents are (believing in certain gods, going to the temple). In fact, it's ridiculous that we rely on a greater power to save us from trouble and everyday problems when all we as human beings have to do is have trust in ourselves.

It's interesting how you feel about the connection with the sky. I feel some connection with things in the sky, and they've been speaking to me recently. I've not really had the nature feeling, but the sky definately. It's like they're telling me it's all going to change very soon.

My family's religious. Believe in Christ for everything. Money's tight, don't worry, give 10% to church, and extra for God's blessing. It's amazing that my family believes that stuff and goes thru so whole heartedly. They think I'm nuts b/c I speak of the things I see and feel. They think I'm on drugs or not getting enough rest. I don't know, I just can't allow myself to throw my hopes on some composite religion.

Youre post sounds like my thoughts in a lot of ways. I despise the concept of money, and I do feel the energy and feelings of those around me. It's a haunting feeling...

I think many people have similar feelings. I too long for a simpler life. Society as a whole will never be like that anytime soon, but, if you have the money I'm sure you could find a place to fit your lifestyle. As for the sky, humans are destined to reach other planets, it's only a matter of time.

What I think is that everybody needs to find a different side of Christianity for themselves.

Are you different?

Do you not like how Christianity or any other religion is for you?

If you anwsered both questions yes, that means all you have to do is just sculpt your religion to your self. If you do, I swear, you will get the best connection with whatever god you have, ever.

I did, and now I am on a spiritual trip with God.

He is giving me these prophecies that I cannot ignore, and I even have OBE's, I meditate, I believe in Chakras, etc.

You just have to make sure your religion is right for you, or you will end up feeling horrible. I sure used to.

In Christianity, there are over 20 different branches of the Church, and so many varieties, and there should be one out there for those who believe in Christianity.

I don't know about other religions, but I am pretty sure the same thing applies.

As for the connection thing, I have a certain connection with Wolves, but I don't have a connection with the bare sky. My connection is with a completely cloudy sky. I just like the way it looks. A lot.

And no, rxghost, you are not at all strange. Just different. But remeber, don't ever submit to the uniformality, and never give up your individualality. Not everybody likes to live like robots.

Have you ever thought, really what is the point and wanted to just jump into that sky and fly away?

Regularly, clearly i'm restricted in my exploration to the boundaries within my own mind, for the moment anyway.

most definately! in fact, i had this dream once where i jumped off a cliff and was falling but soon after started to fly.. i fly throughout the entire world from there on and then went into space. After I awoke, I actually believed for the next hour or so that flight was possible somehow. i think it may be; our subconscious mind is all that prevents us from doin so.

I sometimes have urges to just stare into the sky, but only on party-cloudy days. Never on full overcast or completely clear skys though. Like right now its overcast and drizzling and and i have no urge at all to go look at the sky. I dont get anything out of it (like the bliss you felt) ... just have a feeling that i should stare at the sky sometimes.

For me it's water...I can't live without it. Maybe I used to be a water python, lol. I love to swim, and immerse my body in water... I live by a river in a city by the sea, and I don't think I could really be happy living somewhere deep inland anymore.
I've always had water in my place too...either one of those room fountains, or an aquarium. And, I love breathing salty air. Actually where I am now, the air could be a little saltier for my taste.
I don't like small lakes, only huge ones, small ones can feel stagnant, sticky, mucky, decaying. But clean, moving water...love it. I could stare into it for hours, be in it forever. I'm also just as interested in what's in our oceans as what's in outer space. What is down there.....I can feel that there is something there. Something big.

Life is everywhere.

rxghost, I would just like to say that I feel exactly the same about almost everything you said.

ve also had many dreams about flying, and they feel so real, the sky is beautiful, I think the sky makes us feel good, because theres so much space up there, its so free. To fly away. ah well

I have a connection with water also, that I forgot about. I was once out on a dock at Seattle, and I saw the most beautiful natural portrait of the bay. You could smell sea, and see hill covered with trees on the other side, with bands of purple and oragne clouds over head. It was absolutely gorgeous and made me realize my connection with water. It's one of my smaller connections, but it is there.

Yeah, one time I dreamt I jumped off of a building, and I flew for about like, 3 minutes. I did it again, but I just fell to the ground, but slowly. I landed, but then got a scab on my knee. It was very strange.

And in speaking of water...

Does anybody here believe in old Nessie' by the way? (Loch Ness monster)
