Amnesty bill 'loophole':1 Trillion to illegals

I guess it's a reward for their hard "work".
Group spokesman Brad Phillips says illegal aliens who gained something called a "non-work" Social Security number -- which entitled them to only things like food stamps or Medicare -- prior to 2004, would be able to receive Social Security benefits if the bill passes.
Only food stamps or Medicare,thats not good enough.
Social Security trustees estimate that Social Security will go bankrupt.

With the proposed immigration bill, illegal aliens would receive more than double in Social Security benefits what American taxpayers have spent so far on the war in Iraq.
Thats fair,they break laws,get rewarded with citizenship,and now here comes the benefits.
Please tell me again why we "need" these people.

I have a question on the amnesty/illegal immigrant dilema.

How does dealing with the current illegal immigrants solve anything? On the news the other night the said 11,000 people cross the border everyday illegally, I understand some are caught and returned but alot are not and stay in the country.

So without stopping new illegal immigrants from coming in, won't we have the same problem all over again in 10 years?

Absolutely, and for some reason the Democrats and Republicans want this.

it doesn't do much of anything to keep them from coming into the US, and well, by what I hear we'll have just as many coming in with this bill, just more of them will be coming in legally.
we'll I have to admit, that them coming in legally will mean that the money they earn will be taxes, and they will probably be donating to the social security fund.
but, at the same time, them and their illegal companions will be driving down the wages of more US workers...the less money we make, the less money we will be contributing to the tax base and the social security fund. and of course, more money will be made by the corporations and thus, the wealthiest amoung us....who, of course, only pay tax on the first ...I forget the amount....but they don't pay social security on alot of the money they make...thus, more money is taken out of the amount taken for social security the distribution of wealth becomes more unbalanced toward the rich.

they want the social security to end...they don't like it, and they know they will not be able to keep it afloat much longer....better to blame a bunch of newly arrived immigrants for their failure than to admit that it was their fiscal madness that drained the fund and killed it.

dawnstar, from what I've read illegal/legal aliens will get 3 dollars in tax benefits for every dollar they pay in. These are the social programs that are in place.

yes and if they cause the wages of their co-workers to fall also, then the co-workers might also be recieving $3 in benefits for every dollar they pay in....

soon the "wealthy" will have something to gripe about when they gripe about paying too much in taxes...they'll be paying all the taxes...and the rest of us will be working our tails off, and yet, still having to beg the social programs for their aid...

if one was to look at the policies of the current administration since they came into office, on might come to the conclusion that they really want to bankrupt this country..
