EXECUTIVE ORDER 12148 created the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that is to interface with the Department of Defense for civil defense planning and funding. An "emergency czar" was appointed. FEMA has only spent about 6 percent of its budget on national emergencies, the bulk of their funding has been used for the construction of secret underground facilities to assure continuity of government in case of a major emergency, foreign or domestic.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 12656 appointed the National Security Council as the principal body that should consider emergency powers. This allows the government to increase domestic intelligence and surveillance of U.S. citizens and would restrict the freedom of movement within the United States and granted the government the right to isolate large groups of civilians. The National Guard could be federalized to seal all borders and take control of U.S. air space and all ports of entry. Many of the figures in the Iran-Contra scandal were part of this emergency contingent, including Marine Colonel Oliver North. [2]

The Nuremberg trials were great, because they forever established the right of soldiers to disobey unlawful orders. Clearly with the Constitution itself as the highest law of the land, not the "Supreme Court," every Executive Order above is simply unlawful. Since without a Constitution and once someone "suspends it," the Presidency itself and all institutions under any "United States," are null and void. You have to leave it to the individual sovereign states to yield a course of action, not to FEMA not to any other shadow pretender to be a government.

Honestly, I can't see this happening. The fact is that politicians are in power because someone in the industry wants them there. Yeah we may have some say, but let's put things into perspective. The govt. taking over the industry is counter to the industry's interests, and thus would not happen. That is point #1

Furthermore, have you even read any of these? I have been through about 3 of these orders, and have seen scarcely anything to raise any flags about. In fact, one of them didn't have ANYTHING to do with what you claim it did (Re: the first one). If you look at the order it has to do with Federal worker safety issues. A simple Google search pulled this up:

WHile some of the other orders, like 10998 seem to be a little more topical, I fail to see how it is any different than stockpiling oil in the case of a natural emergency. It discusses (to parapharase) the assistance of farming, with many different means, including financial assistance. I am no law-maker, but I don't think you really have anything to worry about.

There is nothing wrong with the idea of martial law, the problem lies in the intent of our supposed leaders.

Question: Once marshal law is declaired, how long do you believe it will be before they will cut off the secondary road ways and all roads which transverse states?
