I consider myself a mystic.
I study kabbalah, yoga, qigong, shamanism, and western occultism. Being a martial artist first and foremost, I practice the esoteric arts in a very
serious manner.
For me, the most important thing is an emphasis on the basics. Meditation, Virtue, Deep Breathing, Mind Expansion,Awareness, and Visualization are
cornerstones of my practice. I've done astral projection, remote viewing, self-hynosis, the whole line.
Personally, I do not really care for using tools in my practice. I do possess a number of tibetan ritual objects that I've purchased along the way,
but rarely if ever do I use them for anything.
My main goal is self-mastery. I've developed a system around my practice, that originally was designed to help me get more out of my life. I began to
apply these principles to various parts of my life, and noticed that they quickly began to work out better for me. I try to apply these principles to
everything I can think of. Knowledge is nothing if not practical, practical knowledge is worthless if not applied.
I've had reiki attunements that I now somewhat regret. I simply do not use it. I was lucky to be attuned by experts. Some people nowadays are being
attuned to entities, being bonded at a very deep level to things they never bargained for. Some people have visions of angels that offer a new kind of
healing energy, however, the people are decieved into believeing these are angels, when in fact they are something much different and spreading an
energy they do not understand.
As a side note, do not get involved in anything you do not understand the consequences of. Do not engage in any mystical practice, unless you are
willing to seriously study it. If you fool around with forces you shouldn't take lightly, you'll be in for a world of hurt.
I continue my study with experts when it is in my financial means to attend a wrokshop or take classes. There are a few people I'm eyeing up and hope
to spend some time studying with in the next few years.
I look forward to see what other types of people we have lurking about in these forums.
