Sorry to make yet another topic, but i wanted to bring this to people's attention as quickly as possible. The other topics have fallen away from people's interest.

HALO 3 viral video about the 'Adjutant Reflex' computer awakening, featuring famous landmarks, cropcircles and our one and only Chad drone.

I think we've found the answer...

When it was figured out by ATS members that the Chad drone was
manmade, I quit following the threads. Could someone post in a
nutshell why this Halo3 Viral Video is significant? Fooffstarr sounds
pretty excited about it. Thanks in advance. -cwm

There ended up 3 different views.

1) A transformers viral plot involving the drone
2) A halo viral plot involving the drone
3) That it was real *cough*

I'm hoping i've narrowed the possibility down to it being a Halo 3 marketing device. Related to the (snip) strangeness and the Sector 7 website. If none of that makes any sense, read the C2C drone = halo thread.

I'll go review that thread, Fooffstar. Thankyou for the quick reply!

If you look carefully at the initial 'logon' screen, you'll see the name Katie as the first name.

That is the name that is displayed as the owner of (snip)

(snip) was the website that was found about a week ago to have an image of the writing off the drone linked to it.

This is a good find, and seems to be the clincher. These drones are supposed to be the "forerunners" who have visited Earth in the past, in the Halo storyline. However, Sector 7 is a part of a Transformers viral campaign. You only have to check the footage hosted there out to realise this.

why would Microsoft spend money on making fake images of drones regarding halo 3, again makes no sense the connection.

The video could very well be made by a halo fan, this does not prove anything.

The drone images do look fake, but I think it was done by someone who has a lot of time on their hands and interested in UFO's and aliens. Sadly this is the best place to post those pics......

IF this was real we would be seeing these pictures on the news!!!

Here;s some more video of the "Drone"

Drone Video

Drone Video 2

The notes state that it is CGI, but little else. Nicely done though!

More video of the second more developed "Drone"

Video

Again, obviously CGI as the creator admits. I'm posting these simply to demonstrate how easy it is to create fakes - at home, on a PC! This guy is good and deserves a job in the industry.

The video in the first post will not load for me. I get a perpetual "loading" screen. This happens in both the embedded video and the youtube link.

So, famous landmarks and crop circles are products of the HALO 3 campaign?

lol those "famous" landmarks and crop circles don't exist...

I came up with the Halo 3 viral video quite sometime ago, as it's worked for Microshaft several times in the past. But it does look as though the game will rock. Might even get me playing my 360 again.

Edit: I actually posted my hypothesis way bach here, but I didn't recive much response to it at all. Glad we all figured this out.

How is this proof of viral marketing? It looks like some crappy video someone with to much time on their hands made.

Do you have proof this is an official video or is it just something you found on youtube?

I just wanted to post this supporting piece of evidence gameindustry.biz. Using the phrase "we are not alone" goes handd in hand with the "photos" and "videos" of the C2C drone. I do reccommend that we follow this campaign, as with the first 2 ARG's people got cool free stuff out of it
Go to the Society of the Ancients site and compare the photo on the homepage with the drone. Striking similarites.

For Christ's sake, do you guys actually read the threads around here? It's been proven conclusively that (snip)and all this crap are NOT related to the Halo 3 ARG. Bungie has said so themselves in their ARG FAQ. They're the work of some leeching loser named Matt Asher who tried to do attach himself to the Halo 2 ARG as well. Now he's trying it again with Halo 3 and just happens to be grabbing stuff like the drone images to help.

Regardless of what this drone thing actually is, it's got nothing to do with Halo 3 outside the mind of this Matt Asher guy (and ATS members that don't keep up with established facts).

Well, information about this crap is spread over how many threads now? Why don't you unbunch your panties, and post a link to it so those ATS members who don't obsessively trawl through each and every damned drone post [i.e. me] can see it?

This must mean that Stonehenge is Fake as well and created for Halo 3 viral marketing too!

Okay, who posted this to You Tube originally... what is its source?

Anyone with a mac/imovie can make something like this in 15 minutes.

Nice find, but I need more...

I highly doubt the video posted in the original post is in any way related to Halo 3. Looks like the work of some amateur. The following just doesn't fit together for me:

1) Very well done computer graphics in the "Chad" pictures.
2) Very crappy effects in the above video (stupid fade ins, fade outs, and pan shots of pictures easily found on the internet -- is that space station in the first part of the video from 2001: Space Odessey?)

If it were a Halo 3 viral video, it'd have better effects, on par with those in the pictures from "Chad", not pan shots of lame pictures. Seems like we have a bunch of people trying to hijack the original hoax....
