We have known about this for some time but with this new GAO (Government Accountability Office) report its official; G.W. Bush has no respect for our system of government and the law of the land. When is it going to become clear that he is not a conservative, he is a dictator wannabe and is doing his best to rule like one? I mean the man is even on record as saying that the country would be easier to rule as a dictatorship just so long as he was the dictator. If that was meant as humor it was pretty poor... kinda like looking for WMD behind you couch after people have died and continue to die for his lies.

The man is disgusting.

Once again the bush apologists ignore the uncomfortable facts about their hero.

I hesitate to put the blame squarely on Bush, and instead feel that Congress is at fault for not dealing with this for so long and that the Supreme Court has not been vigilant enough in enforcing constitutionality. These failures have been blatantly obvious throughout the history of our nation, and the sooner that we do something, the better.

This is something that, if left unchecked, can completely dismantle our republic. While Bush is not entirely to blame (I look more to people like Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt for that), his actions are the perfect example of what is wrong with the system. Perhaps it would be wise to start a petition?

I advise all of you to call and/or write your senators and representatives and encourage them to do what is right. Additionally, send your thanks to Senator Arlen J. Specter of Pennsylvania for attempting to put a check on presidential power.


And Grover, you can wait more than four and a half hours before complaining that no one replied to your thread.
