Spirit Guides / The thing that watches over you.

Just a quick question. Do you think that everybody has someone watching over them that guides them and looks after them? I ask this because I've been thinking alot lately about wether or not I have someone watching over me. I've been through some hard times over the last year of my life and sometimes it just makes me wonder! Is the bad stuff thats happened just a stitch in the rich tapestry of life? is it just a lesson to learn from so I wont do it again and so I can pass on my advice to my friends and my children (when I have them).

If people do have someone watching over them to look after them, to give them guidance. Why are there so many heroin addicts, murderers, jobless people without this guidance? Is it because they cant hear them? Is it because they just are not listening?

I think its a very comforting feeling to think that there is someone watching over you but does everyone have a guide/angel/whatever you want to call them?

Much of the bad things that happen to us is simply due to the Second Law of Thermodynamics, that of entropy. Our bodies are geared to run down and die.

My experience as a spiritual medium has taught me that the discarnate dimensions essentially consist of a large collection of special interest groups and that most of the people on the Other Side are not devoted to The Light; so there are negative astral influences too.

No universal hierarchy has yet to emerge that designates Spirit Guides to people. It is largely up to the individual and/or their group.

Moreover, there are not enough people on the Other Side who are spiritually conscientious and advanced enough to adequately help everyone who wishes to be guided. And a great many people on This Side are not open to spiritual guidance and they incarnate for less than noble reasons.

But if you wish to get more spiritual guidance, the best route is to become more prayerful, more meditative, and more selfless.

We all do have some sort of Guardian Angel, and they sometimes do protect us.
But if you are like a crack addict, you severly want your crack; and a Guardian won't interfere with want you really want.

And like Paul said, you have to be more spiritual also. Oe more thing, you have to believe in Guardians too. Or else your Guardain just wont show.

some are of the opinion that everyone has an inherent 'spirit guide'
which has its roots in ones' Ancestery

after all you are a genetic DNA person, but your DNA package has all the
DNA 'memory' of all your ancestors in your family tree...therefore a 'spirit guide' as some call it.

now,with the modern eras noise and self-gratification pursuits,
the wisdom of our elders falls on deaf ears...
most are obsessed with Bling, fame, fortune, hot dates, fast lifestyles,
and sluff off the inner higher self as something thats nerdy or mumbo-jumbo superstition...

my guess is that 'they' are recklessly un-enlightened, and couldn't be bothered with attempting to quiet themselves to listen to mentors
who would instruct them about 'spirit guides' or other ventures into the realm of shamansm

"A Spirit Guide may only communicate when called upon and asked for assistance. The assistance may be in the form of guidance, protection or attention to a specific matter. The Spirit Guide will serve but will never step in without being asked.

Someone possesed by whatever personal demon they have may not be able to or want to contact thier personal spirit quide.

Spirit quides are first of all unique to each person. I had the privilege to have some native American blood on my mothers side (not much mind you but a bit) and spent several weeks in the desert with a native American when I was a scout learing how to survive the desert environment. At the end of the trials (it was pretty hard) we were participated in a "Sweat Lodge" and during the process we were asked a series of question to determine our "main" guide. Mine was the bear.

However, other animal quides can appear during your life as well.

That sounds more like a totem than a guide.

It's been said that guides are incapable of communicating unless asked, but I don't find that to be true. From my experience with my own guides, they can communicate at any time - however, there are many things they won't do for you unless you ask. Fortunately, many of them will protect you even when you don't ask, but for other things, I find that you need to ask them for help. They don't like to feel they're doing everything for you, or that you're not going to learn anything.

I have been in contact with my spirit guides before.

I think pretty much everyone has one. I find it hard to believe that someone would be without one, even if they have done some truly horrible things.

We all do bad things and good things. Why would our guides abandon us through the tough times? When we need their help most (and God's) they help us without asking.

I am under the impression that there are spirits everywhere and some can be helpful to us and some may try to harm or confuse us.

There are "good" and "bad" humans, so why wouldn't there be the same in the spirit realm. If someone has been deluded and self-centered their whole life, they are probably going to end up as a "bad" spirit.


Then again, since none of us can actively contact these spirits 24/7 we could all be full of it heh.
