Predicting Television

For the past year or so, I have been able to predict certain tv shows. Usually the Simpsons or Seinfeld. It's weird. I'll be talking about a certain episode or a part of an episode, and later that day (sometimes as much as 3 days later) it'll be on. It is best to note that my TV guide does not give any description of episodes, and I do not have satellite or cable. Only a tv antennae on the roof. Sucks, I know.

The best prediction of a show to date, was when I was talking about one of the "couch" scenes in the intro of the Simpsons. These "couch" scenes are never, EVER put in any guide descriptions on satellite or cable (which I don't even have). The scene was the one where the family sits down and Marge gets up to wipe off Matt Groening's signature in the corner, he then runs out and rewrites it.

These predictions happen about every few days. Sometimes everyday for about a week or so. I can't just wake up and say, "this episode is on today". I merely happen to mention the episode earlier in the day, and it happens to come on.

Anyone ever heard of predicting tv shows? Could I be picking up a signal somehow, perhaps informing me of the show subconsciencely?

Too bad your prediction couldn't be used for anything that may help the world.
