Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell has insisted that the controversial new 2012 logo will stay, as inspectors began a three-day examination of London's plans for the Olympic Games.
Ms Jowell admitted the graffiti-style logo had caused a "storm" after it was unveiled last week but said it was "adaptable" and could be used in a "variety of different contexts".
Asked whether the logo was worth its £400,000 fee, Ms Jowell said: "I think it was, yes."

The question is: what in the world is this logo meant to represent? The public reaction had been less than reassuring - "absolutely awful" and "garish, irritating, conceptually vacuous, aesthetically ugly and a piece of s**t". Strong words! To me - speaking as a Brit - it does absolutely nothing to represent the country. In fact, it does absolutely nothing.
This small detail caught my eye though –

Hmm. £400,000 to come up with that... Yes that's tax payer's money well spent.
