This sounds like it is right out of a bab b-rated Hollywood movie. But according to the news, it is reality. This is kind of creepy if you are into touching strange looking bugs like I am. I haven't ever seen one of these 'buggers' in real life, but it sounds like they can pack quite a punch!

I waited patiently for 'the punchline', but alas, nothing came


Had to read the article myself.


A source said: "If you are within 500 metres of even just one caterpillar, you are considered to be within the danger zone. The hairs are tiny but hyper-toxic and are so light they carry easily through the air without people noticing them


This kind of thing could get pretty dangerous if not taken care of right away.

Does this happen a lot or just isolated instances? I have never heard of it here in Canada but then again, would anyone know what to look for?
