This is something I have a huge interest in, Neuroacoustic Research, Harmonics, specific frequencies and biological reactions and entrainment.

These are very fundamental properties of health and wellness and natural reactions to sound, light and vibration.

For Instance the brain releases Growth Hormone during Delta sleep at .5 hz which in and of itself is very interesting

I have considered building a sound table for orthopedic and postural therapy to compliment the experience as well as a light program for the eyes with those new portable CD players and headphones for binural beat frequencies. the basic theory of function of such an experience is to entrain the mind and body into deep states of consciousness to enable deep healing on a fundamental level. Everything is vibrating and the organs all have harmonic frequencies of health. A total vibratory experience with layers of harmonized input to induce deep states of consciouness which facilitates emotional and physical healing.

Sound Tables themselves are available and I have seen several but I would make my own with home theatre ButtKicker technology attached to the table. You would feel the music and I would experiment with a foam table vs the table would have a hydrosurface, ie a water mattress.

Since I am a drummer you may realize that drum musical notation is not the same as string notation. But that never stopped me from learning

Lets face it music is about frequecy and octaves although drums were the first instrument and are pitched to a certain frequency, string insturments are important in the scale of things....pun intended.

Strangely, Tomatis' view of AD/HD and autism has its merits. hard to tell if it's really the primary cause (with secondary factors, fe-x. heavy metal toxicity inhibiting sensory perception), although the current confusion, with hypotheses ranging from genetic causes to toxins, clearly indicates that people aren't looking in the right direction.

it's clear as day that our current environment is stimulating us insufficiently if not adversly, with predictably dire consequences, if the situation is not corrected in time.

Thanks for all the links and info This is a big interest of mine as well. I am slowly but surely building a whole "setup" for myself. I have a light and sound synthesizer with high quality light glasses. I have an EMS/TENS unit which can hookup and syncronize to the light/sound machine. I just need an EEG and a massaging chair that can sync with it all.

And now i'm gonna look into this neuralacoustic thing! Sounds like it would be a great addition.

JungleLord.. your posting stuff that resonates with me (excuse the pun), and im sure it means as much to you too. But given thats the case, then why did you in that other thread say that the holographic universe, and indeed the electric universe ideas, are bunk, and that string theory provides the answer??

On the topic itself;

I have never had much luck with binural music and hemisynch programs.. they just tend to make me feel dizzy and pretty weird. I've had much more luck using music by an Indian artist called "Goa Gil".. that music can put you in a funny place even when your completely sober, its quite amazing.

I think you should also include some stuff about Dolphins and their influence on the human mind and body through sound. There is evidence to suggest that they can heal humans, program organic material to store information using their sounds etc. Theres also an argument that they are telepathic, but thats another area entirely.

The Discovery channel did a program on Dolphins being used to heal little children with a variety of mental and physical disorders, and whilst they were not allowd to say "its real, it works", they did have to elude to that fact, because it is infact true.

There is something really soothing and blissful about the sound of dolphins, i just had to give them a mention
