i think a couple people were having trouble staying on beat...

love the song inspired by a zappa concert.....on the same note though, it's the first song i learned...
probably everyones first..

boy, i remember feeling like i owned the world when i was first abl to crank that up a bit....had a frontman 25r, cranked it up, a tiny bit of distortion and it felt soooo good.

I watched this on TV last night. Really cool. Little kids and adults all playing together. Would've been real cool if Deep Purple was there to play it with them all.

main riff. lesten to the song to pick up the meter(you should already know it)....perfect example of where tabs are not as good as notation. if i handed you those tabs and you had NEVER heard smoke on the water before, how would you play that?
what time signature is that in? are those quarter notes? half notes? sixteenth notes?
play that riff and then we'll get to the next one

Ahaha. They look like such dorks. I love it!! I wish I was there. How'd they come up with 1683? And who came up with the idea of, "Hey, let's see how many people we can get to play Smoke on the Water on their guitar out in the sun before a baseball game (or whatever it is)!"

Nice find. :]

this must have been a logistical nightmare! i'm impressed, but they should have made it obligatory that the were either all on amps or all on acoustics
