Group under investigation as terrorists?

Alright, I had no idea where this question should go, so I decided to put it here and then It may get directed to a better more correct spot.

I have a couple of friends that have started a group called Punk Across America, if you wanna know more about it they have a website (www.punkacrossamerica.com), but just recently they have been told that there is a possiblity that they are under investigation of being terrorists.

I told them that I would contact a few people and see what I could find out. I figured I would be able to contact a few old hacker buddies and they could get me somewhere, since I gave that up long ago. Well, none of them have the resources that they used to have and one is actually in prison for the hacking.

SO I come here to ask if anyone knows anyway that I cold come across the information to see if they are being investigated.

Why in the world would they think they are under scrutiny ?

It's been my experience that the paranoid usually have a reason to be.
