I see lots of people saying things like Bush is the Antichrist, or that Osama is the Antichrist...I never really understood this line of thinking because everything I have ever read about the Antichrist points to him being someone who everybody loves and adores, as if they were taken in by his promises and fooled by his deceptive personality.

If this is infact true, then Bush could not possibly be the Antichrist because he's done anything BUT take us in...I mean he has his supporters, of course, but on a worldwide level he is despised.

To me, the Antichrist, if such a thing is real, is going to be someone who fools us all with his charm. Someone who convinces us he is good for the world, and gets us all to support him. I'm not acusing anyone of anything, but guys like Barack Obama and Ron Paul have loyal followings...For some reason I've thought that Barack Obama could be the Antichrist for several years now...Simply because he is so adored. It seems to fit in better with what I read about the Antichrist.

What do you guys think?

Depends on who you talk to, and believe.

For the whole "anti-christ" thing, belief in the Bible becomes key, yes ?

As far as Bush, he has been elected twice. Obviously, he has (or had)
a loyal following.

Osama. People are killing themselves for his supposed Jihad. That takes
quite a bit of loyalty.

People have been quoting prophecy, the Bible and anything else that will
keep the masses enthralled, to further their own good.
Has Rapture ever taken place ? No. Seems God never got that memo.
Has the anti-christ ever spawned ? No. We're still rocking along.

The way I see things, believe as you will. Put on noone, you own personal
beliefs. If there is a God, and Heaven, you will be recognised for the way
you lived your life, not how many people you converted.

Just my 2 cent,
Lex

The anti-christ is most likely the Pope or the president of Iran because the muslin people love the president of Iran and the Christian people love the pope.

Interesting theory DazedDave

Personally, I think that if there is an Antichrist, the person in question has yet to make an 'official' appearance to the world.

The antichrist means "In Place of Christ". You are very correct that he will fool us with his charms. jesus spoke of wolves in sheeps clothing. Who is on earth claiming to be In Place of Christ and also claims to be infallible. You might be interested to research the SMOM and the real power of the Vatican, also worth researching what the Holy Roman Empire was all about, the Vatican is the follow on of the Holy Roman Empire, overt control became covert control, when the NWO succeeds in all its goals they will have overt control once again

in my opinion, the christ and anti-christ are simplifying the duality of the universe itself, good and evil, the fruit of knowledge, the bearer of light, the proton and electron.

the iconization of deities is something i dont particularly believe in. i liken that to the lavey followers who praise satan, wear dark clothing and stupid nonsense. Its all comic book characters to me.

HOWEVER.

if there was a supposed anti-christ, i would most certainly say it would be bush or the president who shall follow him next . he does follow his crusade in god's name, and if there is a god, i doubt he would authorize killing hundreds of thousands of people.

I think only two people in the world know who The Anti-christ is at first. Then when those two people give testimony (Since they are not only witnessing the anti-christ, but the changing of the aeon's and the Signs of these aeon's becoming one new and ultimate aeon, as God intended -Stops preaching-) the notion will convincingly spread like wildfire(FOS). I suggest you stop looking for The Anti-christ.

Think about all the people you love that you want to be in heaven with you. And question your Faith.

Faith is Certainty.

The Anti-christ will manifest when the Aeon is ready.

Remember, God created satan through His word. Man will now create the anti-christ through the aeon God has given man. Or maybe The Anti-christ manifests out of the Aeon that God has given man.

People will think the Witnessess are crazy until the anti-christ gives itself away.

Prepsuedo(sp) explination, I know. But that's how God keeps faith existant.

Although it's unlikely that we'll see such an antichrist figure, it's fun and maybe instructive to speculate.

One of the most interesting aspects to me, is the idea that this person (or thing) will be perceived initially as charismatic, charming, or captivating.

Couple this with the idea that the 'evil' do not think of themselves as such. Evil usually seems to have some kind of explanation.

It might also be interesting to look as who or why or what some of the most beloved people or things have been in the past.

But, here's a twist.

What if 'the antichrist' is not actually a person? It might be an idea. Note how easily large crowds turn to a 'mob mentality'.

But to back up, how could the AC embodied in a person, ever survive the whims of the public after becoming 'popular'.

One of the best cinematic depictions of the AC personnified, was 'Jasmine' in the TV show 'Angel'. Beautiful, hypnotic, everyone literally dropped what they were doing, men and women alike, to worship this demon from another dimension.

Because of this requirement to be loved beyond any criticism, any 'person' or individual who would take this role would have to be otherworldly, or genuinely magical, or at least appear magical (through advanced technology?). An alien who arrives and gives us a magical cure for a disease would be a good example. Who wouldn't be liking this (at least as long as the alien is vaguely human; say looks like us and can communicate, but maybe has a bumpy forehead.)

Thus it seems likely to me, if I'm interpreting the AC question properly, that the AC is more likely to be an idea or a thing. I wouldn't be the first to nominate the 'Net or computers. It can be problematic depending on some technology too much (for instance).

2 cents.

He'll be anything but any of those. The book of Daniel describes the anti-Christ as being of "Fierce" countenance. That is not indicative of being "beautiful." He is not going to be some grandiose, Rico Suave looking fella. People will not be drawn to him for his appearance, but because of his intellect. He will seem to have the solutions to the world's problems at a pretty desperate time.

Please explain your use of "aeon"

I used Wiki and could use none of those definitions in your context.

Remember, God created satan through His word.

"Such a view is found, however, in the prologue to the Book of Job, where Satan appears, together with other celestial beings or "sons of God," before the Deity, replying to the inquiry of God as to whence he had come, with the words: "From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it."[9] Both question and answer, as well as the dialogue which follows, characterize Satan as that member of the divine council who watches over human activity, but with the evil purpose of searching out men's sins and appearing as their accuser. He is, therefore, the celestial prosecutor, lawyer who sees only iniquity; for he persists in his evil opinion of Job even after the man of Uz has passed successfully through his first trial by surrendering to the will of God, whereupon Satan demands another test through physical suffering.[10]

From Wiki

Unless you are taking the stance that God created everything, including the Angels in his prescence, where did you get your info ?

Man will now create the anti-christ through the aeon God has given man.

Or maybe The Anti-christ manifests out of the Aeon that God has given man.

Well, which is it ?

And again, what context is "aeon" used in ?

But that's how God keeps faith existant.

I was under the impression that belief in God, not God Himself kept faith
alive.

I have my own ideas on God, but am always willing to listen to others
beliefs.

Having read a few of the worlds religious text (which led to the belief I hold) I'm not sure I've ever seen this one.

Can you please expound on where you drew your ideology from ?

Thanks in advance,
Lex

Isn't there some saying about the Devil being equally happy with both people denying his existence, and being overly obsessed with him?

All these Anti-Christ threads sort of fall into the latter category.

It could be anyone, it is possible that the Anti-Christ would not fully know until told. I can use standard numerology tricks to turn my Social Security Number into 6-6-6 and many people feel that they know me from somewhere so maybe it is me. Still haven't figure out how to really levitate myself or objects yet so maybe not. Oh well, next.

Here he is, the future Anti-Christ himself.

Diana was aware of it and that is why he had her killed.

Dazed I think you are right with your theory. In fact this guy is going to be so smooth that Jesus even said "if it were possible even the very elect will be deceived". This guy is going to have all the answers all the charm and charisma not to mention the miracles that he and the false prophet will be able to preform.

When i read this, i have the following thoughts:

Let us assume, that the Bible is not true. Now that being the case, let us imagine a world which is desperate, perhaps in another World War or ravaged by Climate Change. If a leader were to rise of remarkable intellect and implement change which bettered not just a country but the planet itself, i wonder what risk there would be of people judging him to be the Anti-Christ?

I find it an interesting thought - the idea of someone with the imagination, intelligence and empathy of Einstein who applies those skills in implementing change through his leadership position - and then potentially being undone by those who deem it to be too good to be true.

The antichrist will be a woman. Eve ate the apple. Hillary Clinton (HC) will fix the healthcare system and social security and have some vicious lapdogs do the war mongering.

He is only going to be "smooth" intellectually... The bible quite explicitly states that he is not going to be some charismatic, glitzy individual. It's just that he is going to have a supreme intellect and will seem to have the solutions to the world's problems. That is what will draw the masses to him.

He will be a Hitler like figure. He will not be handsome or charismatic, but because he will seem to have a solution to the problems that exist, people will be drawn.
