It caught my attention the other day... In the book of Revelation, they mention 2 witnesses, who are a part of "the end times"...
My questions are, what are they witnesses of? What will they witness? Witnesses against what? Are they witnessing the world, spiraling down a drain pipe? are they witnesses of an evil among men (crime, corruption, lies, etc.)? (can't think of anymore questions right now)
Got comment?

The two witnesses of Revelation 11 preach the message of repentence (as designated by wearing sackcloth) to those left in Israel, during the last three and a half years of the tribulation. They preach to the Israelites that Jesus was their true Messiah and God's judgment is at hand.
3And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
4These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
5And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
6These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
7And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

Unraveller, it seems that you are taking the literalist approach on this. Do you actually think they will have fire coming out of their mouths?
Most likely it is a metaphor for speaking with anger. Anger can burn those who don't like what someone is saying.
