Alien "image" on mtn. North of Area 51

My fiance saw this and asked me to take a picture of it. I was a little bummed it wasn't me who noticed it. Oh well. We were just North of Area 51 and she said: "hey there is an alien on the mountain", I naturally freaked out, not knowing it was just an image she was talking about and stopped the vehicle. Then she said: "Look it is the image of an alien on the mtn." It is an image of shale I guess perfectly centered on the side of the mountain and extremely huge. Anyway, I am not one who is into naturally forming items that "look" like something. And this is by no means groundbreaking evidence of proof of anything of any sort. If it was not for the close proximity to Area 51 I wouldn't have thought much of it. I did not see it at first, so if you don't either I understand.

I can't see it either. Is it just a funny shape on the rock that I am looking for or what?

Ok, now that i re-read you post I can kinda see what you are referring to, after using a bit of imagination.

I see it. Right in the middle. A round head with two beady little
eyes and a little black nose. The mouth must be covered by brush.
Perhaps someone with too much time on their hands drew this into
the formation to attract aliens.

I see it, its just a natural formation in the rock. But who knows dig down and you might find J-rod and friends

Like finding Jesus in toast and the virgin mary in a potato chip, etc., this, although interesting, is merely a random juxtaposition of stone, soil, slope, and shadow that when viewed under favorable conditions reveal an arrangement of natural material that, to some, might appear to look something like an alien head.

If, as a child, you ever lay down on a hillside and gazed at the clouds overhead, you may have had some fun finding turtles, elephants, and bunny rabbits. With a little imagination and some extra time on your hands, you might find an alien in the clouds as well.

In all honesty I think your just looking too hard for something that isn't there.

I can see what your looking at, but I think its just a natural rock formation. It matches the patterns on the rest of the rock, its not too out of the ordinary.

I say theres nothing to this.

seriously, though. the human mind tries to draw order from chaos, and that's why you see these images in random patterns. if you look hard enough at things, you'll spot just about anything you look for multiple times every day. Interesting find, but nothing at all out of the ordinary.

He wasnt saying this is groundbreaking proof or evidence of anything.

It's simply a cool picture.. debunking is not necassary here.

wow i see like a really wicked looking skull to the right of the alien. Neat photo, could you maybe point out on a google map the location of this mound, i'd like to show others it for fun next time i'm in the area.

Along with a horse/lion type thing, I see the little alien and it looks to me as if he's flicking his middle finger at me.

If this were on mars, it would have been really serious and would have grown to 50 page thread with all the 'experts' jumping in to prove that it was real and with everyone blaming nasa for airbrushing the rest of the picture.

I can imagine that if I were driving around the Area 51 vicinity, my
imagination would run wild too. Almost every American has heard
the stories surrounding this mysterious place.

It looks like a coincidence. Mountains look a lot like that due to streams long ago flowing off of the summit.

It is really cool, though...
