Spy mania grips the Afghan rebels as top commanders fall victim to tip-offs by informers to coalition troops

Hunt for 'traitors' splits Taliban

Looks like British Forces are having some success on the Taliban front, welcome news for change after hearing about spring offensives and what not from the taliban over the past few months.

This is indeed good news even if the intel that lead to the death of the two Taliban commanders didn't come from tips from the inside it is always good to throw the enemy off balance. Troops that specialize in mountain warfare are need in Afghanistan in order the enemy the use of the caves and mountain regions of Afghanistan.

I would also like to see the NZ SAS return to Afghanistan but that is another matter.

The one thing that cannot be replaced is experience if the coalition can kill enough Taliban commanders quick enough the enemy will be left handicapped by inexperienced commanders who's decision making wouldn't be as good as there dead counterparts.

Surely some of the NATO countries could assist the coalition in this regard even if they don't cough up more combat troops.
