Griff,
Sorry for the late reply. I've been out of town with crappy wireless
internet. Ugh.

Anyway, if Rocki had passed due to this, I probably would have been
more intense with my talks with the company.

Would I have joined a class-action suit ? No.

Would I have retained a lawyer ? No. (I already have 2 on retainer,
but they don't handle cases like this).

The class-action lawsuits (IMO) have gotten way out of control.
It's become a way for lawyers to make a fortune, and people with
legitimate damges to get a pittance compared to dealing directly
with a company, openly and honestly.

Hiding behind lawyers provides no do-overs.

Thank you for asking my view on what I would have done if the
"Rock-Monster" would have gone to the Great Litterbox.

Regards,
Lex

This makes me want to vomit, seeing the unwanted animals in the video clawing at crates waiting to be put down almost had me in tears, and the fact that we are feeding our pets carcasses is beyond sick.Big business doing unsafe things to make a profit is nothing new, but you truly have to be human refuse to knowingly do evil especially to those that can not defend themselves.

I've just found some news on a list of these ingredients.

Was going to start a new thread, but seeing as this one was out there and is established, i'll add to this.

Amazingly, pet food contains things like Barley, Cod, Rabbit, fresh Chicken livers, dried Cheese, dried Blueberries, lentils, Milk, green Tea, no-fat yogurt, Selenium (active ingredient in Head and Shoulders dandruff shampoo), brewers yeast,...

And they tell us not to feed our pets 'Human' food...

Enjoy...or rather not...

Thing is I regularly watch my cat catch a small bird or some sort of rodent and force it down her own throat almost without chewing! Feathers, beak, bones, fleas probably! everything... I used to be concerned that she's gonna choke herself, I would attempt to get the kill off her and toss it, she got wise to that, she taunts me now!! devouring in a place she knows I can't reach easily - actually that was my concern, that she would choke her self out of reach of someone to help, no I just leave her to it.

Guess my point is if the cats happy with what she's eating fine - a well fed cat would turn it's nose up if something is wrong with the food.. I'd be concerned with undetectable chemicals though. Here in the UK though, I'm confident in the regulations - as pointed out by others they are pretty tight. In a place like the US I guess you have to go by brands you know. In China? You should maybe say goodbye to your animals each morning as you feed them

I'd do a search for a good quality natural food, I use Wellbeloved in the UK, but I don't know if its available outside the EU (or even the UK to be honest), its a dry pellet food though, but if she wants it wet I add some water and mash it usually. Don't forget that MOST pet food actually advertises it adds fruit and veg, which are NOT meant for cats or dogs since they don't digest it well (it causes diabetes and is fattening), actual prey would give them nutrients and veg from the stomach and various parts (i.e. beaks, bones, feathers etc), so don't be squeamish if you come across weird mixes like cow stomach lining (tripe), kidneys, livers, skin etc on 'quality natural food' sites, they are far worse eating leftovers that are fresh than they are eating commercial foods full of sugars and carbs.

We used to feed the cat Whiskas and Kit-e-Kat but it started to go off almost as soon as the packet was opened (it started to smell like rotten meat), so we just mash the pellets now generally, occasionally if the Whiskas is on offer we give her some of the fish, or give her tuna or other small fish suitable for humans (or chicken or beef).
