Now compare the following with what happened at Gitmo..............

I'd say the Gitmo detainees are getting off easy.........

Torture, Al-Qaeda Style

In a recent raid on an al-Qaeda safe house in Iraq, U.S. military officials recovered an assortment of crude drawings depicting torture methods like "blowtorch to the skin" and "eye removal." Along with the images, which you'll find on the following pages, soldiers seized various torture implements, like meat cleavers, whips, and wire cutters.

And what did Gitmo detainees complain about........'I got unscented deordant and a ball which bounced funny....."

What you see in the above link is torture.............

So you're saying that it's OK for US to torture because what AQ does is worse? 2 wrongs do make a right?

I'd say so too...

Check this thread out for how america/ britain and allies do torture....

Horrors of war

Reaper - the thread is 'The Horrors of war' : One of the links provided in the 'main' link : 'Study suggests cancer risk from depleted uranium' The study suggests it......does not prove anything.

Do you think there were any deformed children after WWII? How about when the allies firebombed Desden?

Regardless......your comment has nothing to do with this thread and the hyprocacy of all the individuals complaining about the 'treatment' of Gitmo detainees (There was a thread discussing the example I mentioned, I believe)

Yet, no reaction by the same individuals when Al Queda does it.

That's right....'their' justification is that since we are the US/Allies we should be above that and it's expected of them.

Intrepid -

I was merely pointing out the fact that there is a very very large anti-american contingent on this board. I'm not saying two wrongs make a right. But if someone is against torture then they should be agaist all forms performed by all people and not just demonize the USA. I think it shows, when concerning the USA, there are many here who forget the motto of this site 'Deny Ignorance', of course this is my opinion.

Torture comes with many faces and while you post what Al-qeada is capable of doing you need to understand that our government does torture also but when they do it, you and me are not there to see it.

BTW we all know what al-qeada does, but do you know what our govenrment is doing in secrecy?

Marge - it's not that Al Queda is capable...........they are doing it. They are blowing up innocent women and children because they won't conform to their religious ideaologies.

If the innocents were casulities from killing US/Allied forces, that would be different (casulities of war). But to blantly slaughter others when they are shopping in markets or going to school is disgusting.

Yet.......very few condem these actions here. Most find someway to blame the US/Allies instead.

So ferretman,

What you are trying to tell me is that both your government and Al Qaeda are terrorists and both have no respect for human rights?

That's not a new thing.

It turns out that both Al Qaeda and your government aint that different. How strange

I read the article on another site.

The question that I have for all the peole who were so upset about the Abu Grab situation.

Would you rather be forced to be in a naked pyramid or have some of your body parts hacked off?
