Iranian Ambassador to Mexico has warned that any possible military action against the Islamic Republic could spark World War III.

In an interview with Mexican TV news network Televisa on Wednesday, Mohammad-Hassan Qadiri-Abyaneh cautioned that the result of a possible US attack against Iran would certainly be far from victory.

Could be more than sabre rattling. It depends if Russia and/or China have agreed to back Iran if it is attacked (sorry liberated) by America.

US better not mess things up for themselves and the rest of us.

I hope the US can keep a lid on all of this. As for outdated tanks well they might be easy target but they can still kill. I also feel russians aircraft are very good IMHO

Bush is fudged and i really doubt the senete will aprove of another worth less war to sacrifice more lives (hopefully)

I sure they will stopm right through. But IMHO the iranians present a hard target, New missile systems being one. There terain is also great for defence. May all of this means it takes longer and would cost the US more money

If US attacks Iran, the world will no longer have any ounce of respect for the US. I don't think US allies are ready to send their soldiers into another war, with no end date, nor real purpose.

Bush wants us to go there to keep Iran from having any nuclear technology. If Iran were to do the same to the US, who would be the bad guy?

Yes well said, and I think it would go for US citizens as well.

Maybe at first they'd be like "yeah lets go and kill some brown people because apparently we're not meant to like them"

But shortly after they'd realise that they have just got themselves into another Iraq, but worse.

Well to me it seems as if its going to happen, I guess the US needs to gear people up to the fact its going to happen. I hope they have worked it out better than with iraq. If others side with iran well it will go globle. Let hope we are wrong though

Well I had better ask now, When do we think this will really start happening? All thoses US ship are doing war games right near Iran. I kind off surprised that they did not take a pot shot! Does it make sence to have your finest ships so near to there antiship missile. To me its like saying have ago if you want.

i guess if that is what you believe but anyway I personally believe if your Country is not subject to a draft and you Military is not out fighting in full force etc etc ...We are not in a World War...because to be in a "world war" everybody is going at it....and up here in Canada any sign of WW3 is the Afghanistan Missions, I like to call them missions because were not really at "war" with Afghanistan we are spreading Democracy and Terrorist hunting which I believe us Canadians are actually doing not like my southern Americans are claiming there doing in Iraq

Here is the thing, China has a 900 billion dollar liquefied natural gas deal with Iran, and if we bomb them they will stop with the shipments to China. As a retaliation China will dump their 1.3 trillion in U.S. T-bonds, causing a horrendous financial collapse of the U.S. economy. They won't even need to fire one shot to cripple us. However I think the collapse of the dollar is what the Bush cartel wants so they can usher in the "Amero". So maybe bombing Iran causing China to dump their T-bonds is by design.

Russia has many financial and military interests in Iran, and i think they would back Iran if we bomb them. I think the possible retaliation might be to bomb Israel.

Either way it will cause dark desperate times across the globe. Bombing Iran would be the stupidest thing we could ever do.

If the US attacks Iran ooo don't want to think about it. The US has no business going after Iran. This will dry the US up financially. Bush dosen't seem to care at all. He has all the wine and oil he wants.

What you speak of could very well be true. Either way would be a hugh blow to the US. Bush wants to give automatic citizenship to all 12 million illegals as stated on his speech. He is crazy.. Get ready for a tough road ahead.

And the bill will be readily acepted by the Democrats that has been trying to bring the draft for years.

I hope any available american age 18 to 25 or. . . with Bush you never know it could up to 40 years olds too, be ready to fight his war.

The new converted citizens and their 11 family members will be a very attractive target to earn their citizenship and while fighting for bush.

ouch... nice to know that i As an American am automatically racist. Also I fall step in line with everything the government says. I've never committed a misdemeanor, or a felony. I am your average patriot willing to die for my countries cause without question....

I am a white male, from a family of median income and I have friends of all races(we don't class people by the actual tone of there skin here... we class you by your country of origin), creeds and genders... I disagree with the war in Iraq; I do not want to see Iran attacked; lest there be a valid reason(like they attacked us without provocation...THANKS BUSH FOR PROVOKING!!!!).

I believe in the Legalization of most drugs, and the criminalization of most prescription medicines(Pain medicines) would be the best move for our society. I believe in Isolationism; and Neutrality (see pre-world war I America) I think our Government should stay out of our homes and especially our bedrooms...(unless you are the sicko taking a child there)

also sir... I am a True Patriot... I will die for the right to stand up AGAINST my government; to fight with our leaders to the end of my existence if necessary... As MOST American's are...

yes bush is trying to start a war with Iran... Most do not agree with it... The democrats DO want to bring back the draft... and with good reason... when you and your children are at risk of being the ones to go to war, that means you are more likely to AVOID a war... a draft is a control mechanism for the people to truly voice there opinions.... (chicken hawks, are a majority in this countries military industrial complex... these guys want wars but don't want to feel the personal cost of it... imagine if the youngest children in the family that owns Boeing are on the ground in Iraq.... I guarantee that the owners of boeing are going to be walking on eggshells about the timeline for removal of troops...)America's problem is that it is a bi-partisan country, that has had one party cowtail to the other parties needs for the past 12 years... this is slowly changing and in 2008 if the right person is elected, the world will see the light that used to be the American way.
