I totally agree but I think it all breaks even. For instance all the illegalls with illegal SS cards have taxes taken out of there pay and they never even file. Thats a lot of money because a family with that kind of pay can get up to 4000 dollars back by refund.

And all the money we save and make based on there labor. Who will do these jobs if they are gone. Nobody thats who. It actually makes our economy stronger imo.

I live in a high populated mexican town and they are actually good people. My kids school is 70% hispanic and they are not all on foodsatmps.

Ill tell you who the foodstamp theives are, its the crack selling black people living in a rundown section of town. That sounds very racist but im not at all. I am just stating a fact of my life in a small town.

There may be a lot of quiet Mexicans here who just want to make a living and support their families, and if they're here legally, more power to them. But there have been DOZENS of stories of towns that have just been destroyed for any non-Latino living there, and people being attacked, robbed, and worse. Many illegals think it's their God given right to come here and do what they want.

Whether they're the only ones that will do the job or not is irrelevant. They still have no right to come here, and take over sections of the state they are in. And it's disgusting that the people in that email would make those comments. I was disgusted to see someone in their position saying something like that.

You want to bet on that? It happens all the time. They don't check your immigration status, or they get false id cards. There are so many stories out there about illegals getting tax credits, and all sorts of other things. First person stories that I've heard.

ETA read the reply from MajorMalfunction on the first page. These Mexican gangs come across the border and they go into these small towns, and they make life miserable for people living there. They even go into bigger cities and take over sections of them, and you start seeing the place get more and more run down, and people moving out because they're scared to live there anymore.

So why do a few people here seem to think migrant workers(legal and illegal) get paid such low wages as 4-6$ per hour? This may come as a suprise, but in south Texas the going rate for harvesting veggies out in a field(to be prepaired for packaging) is in the 24-30$ per hour range. I had several friends down there that picked onions for 26$ per hour. Farms pay VERY good money for manual labor, as does any similar job such as construction and similar jobs that are labour intensive.

Texas farmers are actually losing huge portions of thier crops because they can't get enough workers to harvet the produce before it rots. Here is the main kicker though, it's usually 80-105 degrees, and entails hard labour. Even at 26$ an hour most people just can't handle that type of job because they are weak. Why don't some of you city folk try working at a farm for very good money(15-30$ per hour) and see how long you last.

Gang violence, rampant pregnancy,ect all point to one thing...a community that turned a blind eye to an entirely new population and didn't embrace that new culture. As long as we aren't letting in "terrorists", and helping those who do decide to make the USA thier new home there would be no problems.

If someone is an illegal, and you know it, then get them deported soon if you see this as a big problem. Whining on the internet is not active community participation.

What I dont understand is if they are illegal why arent they being shipped back to there country.
Overall Im fine with them. They live all around me and I feel totally safe. But Im in a smaller town, maybe thats a city thing along the border.

Overall I think they are pumping our economy to the plus. And they are getting a bad rap from a few gangs. And all races should have benefits if they need them. Its a small world and if we cant get along with each other how we gonna get along with a Alien from another world.

That is correct. I dont know about the old people you know, but I seen some rather elderly folk kicking some ass. And if they are not in a physical shape to do that, then by all means utilize your American right to a firearm and concealed weapons permit. and as far as mother of three, again I dont know where your from, but I seen them ladies around here throwin down.

And if you are not in the best physical shape to fight there is always the American right to a firearm. but the real biggest fear is not from these people being violent at all, it just the fact they are different culture, and others burn it into the brain they are "bad" just because.

Frankly, I have nevr been scared to live or travel through any neighborhood. Its all about your demeanor. If you walk aroudn with a smug attitude, someone will want to wipe that smug off your face wherever you are. If you walk around looking afaraid all the time, someone will probably give you a reason to be afraid. If you walk around humble, engagin with anyone you come across in a respectful and friendly manner, you are likely to recive the same, regardless if your in the suburbs of richie rich land, or south Central LA, or Mexico City, or Beijing.

And seriously man, what are you trying to say about 70 year old grandparents? I know a couple guys at work coming on that age that can outcompete MANY young adults in any kind of physical competition, and give a good ass beatin too.

Most people don't get firearms, because they don't have the mind set to USE them. Most of the people I know could NEVER use a gun to take someone's life, no matter what the circumstances. They love to target shoot, and are great shots, but the thought of taking someone's life terrifies them to no end.

Yes, I've known some mothers and 70+ year old people that COULD throw down with the best of them, and I've known some that could barely function normally. MOST of them aren't the kind that are going to be out there throwing punches with a group of 20 year old kids.

In any case, the majority of people in that demographic also have nothing to worry about walking around in their own neighborhood, regardless of where they live. Zaphod your grandmother is not going to get shot by some essays screaming "odelay vato, dis 13th street essays territory beiatch"

Thats just not the case. I am not saying she is in this situation, I am just saying, the majority of young folks would not attack an elderly person, unless in self-defense for some reason. Regardless if they are legal or not. The majority of young latinos ave great respect for their elder generation, that includes illegal Mexicans.

My point was, if you have it in your mind to be afraid, it will show in your body language, even if you are just walking. Just go for a walk and dont be afraid. My own neighborhood has seen homicied, burglary, drug distribution (still does) assault and a variety of other crimes. everyone still walks around outside, without a worry in the world. Old people and single moms included.
