Phony Soldier Charged With Making Up Claims of Atrocities in Iraq

SEATTLE — A man who tried to position himself as a leader of the anti-war movement by claiming to have participated in war crimes while serving in Iraq is facing federal charges of falsifying his record.

Fake Soldier Fake War Criminal The US have enough problems with the incidents that actually occured.
I believe abuses do happen in combat. I was a soldier for 13 years, I fought in the first Gulf War. When I was in we were taught that if an enemy POW stubs their toes we were responsible for it.

Jesse Adam Macbeth, 23, formerly of Phoenix, garnered attention on blogs and in some alternative media after he began claiming in 2005 to have been awarded a Purple Heart for his service, which he said included slaughtering innocents in a Fallujah mosque. His story was contradicted by his discharge form, showing that he was kicked out of the Army after six weeks at Fort Benning, Ga., in 2003 because of his “entry level performance and conduct.”

What could this young man have been thinking?
Carrying around false discharge papers and lying about even having been in Iraq? Collectedin thousands in benefits?
Seems like this is one troubled young man.

He's not doing the anti-war movement much good, and has done them a disservice.

Most likely screened out, and living them out as fantasial efforts. He wished to do these things, but couldn't so expressed it to others, as if he had.

I'd say the gov't is going to be watching him. Very closely. They don't need oddballs balancing their act for them.

Your probably right. They beat me over the head with this guy on another thread a while back. Must be nice to pick and choose what makes up your reality.

For those who don't know what that is : a washout that,before he leaves,goes to the PX and buys ribbons and awards then tells everyone he earned them.
