I thought manslaughter was like an accidental murder? I thought manslaughter was only considered in situations where there was a traffic accident and
someone died, or two people are fighting and one pushes another and they fall and hit their head on a table, et cetera. It sounds like the dude in the
article just outright killed that lady.
It usually is but because the crime was motivated by passion, its usually argued by the defence that the man wasn't in his right mind and acted
irrationally... and unfortunately that argument is usually accepted.
Its sort of like how people who plead temporary insanity get off. They aren't their usual selves and as such are less accountable for their
actions.
