Maybe I'm way behind on the times, but I recently found out about this secret organization called Neurocam. If you visit their website all that is there is a short video telling you about them. they used to have a signup form apparently, but they aren't accepting any new applicants.

Does anyone know what happened to them? I found a post somewhere that there is a rival organization as well.

Interesting stuff, nobody seems to know what they really do,though there are all sorts of ideas.

Neurocam International
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Neurocam is an international organization that was first widely known about after it advertised on billboards in Melbourne, Australia in November 2004.

In November of 2004, a billboard was placed on Alexandra Parade. It contained the website URL and the slogan "get out of your mind".

Until recently (January 2007), people were invited by the group's web site to join Neurocam. Those contacting it to do so received either rejection or acceptance letters via electronic mail, signed with such names as Maxwell Knight, Charles Hastings, Bridget Fischer, Neville Harris, and Iocus Severus. Those that joined Neurocam were given assignments to perform by a set date. In January of 2007 Neurocam.com anounced that it would no longer be accepting online applications.

The obscure nature of the assignments, the lack of information on the web site (which at one time contained a long, and of course not independently verifiable, list proclaiming what Neurocam is not) have only fueled speculation. Some have speculated that this was indeed the intent, however the organization itself denies that.

Neurocam International explicitly states in every assignment that operatives are not to discuss and relate their Neurocam experiences until after the assignment due date, however in some cases operatives may not reveal any information at all. They are indifferent to public records of operative engagements with Neurocam but it does affect the security rating of assignments in receipt by the operative, according to Charles Hastings on Operative Wintermute's blog [1].

The organization claims to have been around in excess of 30 years. They claim to fund their operations via private investors and government contacts.

So far, the objectives of Neurocam remain a mystery. Some have speculated that it has to do with neurology, as in 2004 a CD-ROM was handed to an operative named Xade. Upon review of the disc, it contained many blueprints and files containing what was an assumed neurological device. In mid 2005, a substance named Compound H67T was mentioned many times in conjunction with Neurocam, specifically by operatives higher up in the organization. Claims were made that the substance had complications when tested on rhesus macaque, tonkean macaque, and pan troglodytes verus primates. It was also noted that experiments on homo sapiens would be conducted.

Interesting that this got posted now. Right now, myself and a couple others are conducting an investigative discussion on Neurocam in this thread:

www.abovetopsecret.com...'

We could use another voice or two in that thread, and there's a small feast of juicy links about Neurocam there. Come on over and give us your thoughts.

Don't know what kind of a voice I could add, pretty much all research I tried to do via the internet on it left me with the same thing that I started with, next to nothing.Someone is doing a good job at keeping what Neurocam does secret. Not that I see anything inherently wrong or evil in secrecy, just saying that they do an incredible job at keeping a lid on things, or I am slacking on my research of them,or maybe both.

Like I said, you should come on over to the other thread. We've got a (somewhat inactive at the moment) Neurocam operative, and a collection of interesting links and thoughts in that thread.

Sorry if this has already been posted, maybe it will help.

It looks like we are finding the same stuff. I actually found out about Neurocam on Wikipedia while looking up something else as well. i think I will hop on over to the other thread.

From what I've seen though, NCI is dormant for now, waiting for some kind of secret operation that is in either phase 2 or three. Perhaps the other thread can shed more light on it...

The Neuroboards are a terrific resource, as well as various blogs I've seen, the most prominent of which is Graham Henstock's (Operative Capcoincidence). If you didn't know, he was also featured in the video that's currently up on the NCI official website.

The reason NCI seemingly disappeared was that they planned and set into motion an internet blackout. People speculate that this was due to many factors, some known to the public (security) and some known only to those who planned it. Internet registration shut down before the internet blackout began, though many people believe there are still ways to get in if one is sharp enough and can come in contact with a current member. (This is my current topic of interest, so please drop me a PM with any information).

The internet blackout came with many changes, some of which were leaked by operatives in their blogs or correspondence with bloggers. The e-mail sent out by NCI detailed ways of contacting regional directors via snail mail.

Crast, check my post above for the other, more extensive thread discussing Neurocam we've got.

Could we maybe get a mod to close this thread, so the discussion doesn't scatter?

Everytime I think about my involvement and about Neurocam in general, my blood boils.

I can't promise PM's or free secrets because there arent any really. What happened from 2000-2005 is out there. You just had to tread carefully and choose the truths that lined up with whatever reliable networking you were doing. 2006 was the last year you would have been able to do any kind of decent networking anyway, and even then it would have taken a heap of effort and longevity.

Miraculously, The Nautonier and it's various branches were able to purge most of the "ARG" wanabe's from the organizations, retain a small group of dedicated members and close the doors for good.

Most dropped off the map forever, some of us maintain loose friendships with current members, and a small few still steer through the silence. Conducting R&D, analyzing their history (and information that never made it to any blog or archive) and waiting, possibly for a generation or more.

It kills me to google Nautonier, Neurocam, Yellow 1, Fiat NOX, etc. and find nothing much more current than this post. Sifting through the graveyards of misinformation blogspots bring me feelings of relief and nostalgia. I can't bring myself to breach old promises or strain current friendships, but I know that I wouldnt be holding my breath.

Maybe you read this then find yourself at a bar one day. Your friend of 10 or 20 years leans over and mumbles something like, "I gotta tell you about this thing that happened to me". That's your best bet. But as these things go, maybe not.

Decided to come out of lurking to mention that www.neurocam.com now requires a username and password to even view the page! I oh so wanted to see the video that is mentioned in these links. I hate to participate in a semi-dead thread, but it seems activity is starting back up if they are requiring secure credentials to even view their site.

Also, in the other thread linked above someone mentioned how they were recruiting (masks, under bridges, were handing out business cards and having people fill out information). It may be nothing but something similar took place where I'm from in Ohio. Didn't really think anything of it at the time because bands that came in to town did some pretty different stuff to let people know they were playing that night. I can e-mail some people, see if they remember it and what went down and if anyone has any of the stuff these guys were handing out still.

ARG or actual reality, it's very intriguing especially when trying to find information and not even being able to see what people linked to 1-2 years ago :/ Going to try and get to the bottom of this, perhaps.

Who ever mentioned having the form, any way you can U2U it (can't remember if it was this thread or the other...)? I'm going to call my best friend and see if he still has the one he brought home and if it's similar and if I can get him to scan a copy for me.

Edit: Mix up on my end!

Here are some links that I found via Google:

Neurocam twitter (Real account???)

Only one tweet, but what's interesting is the account for dpvp_23 (of which Neurocam and dpvp_23 follow each other almost exclusively?):

dpvp_23 twitter feed:

// SOT 4B148A0F G7W // it is not true that the greedy traitor is japanese. // EOT // about 4 hours ago from TTYtter

// SOT 4B146147 G7W // e.f. hutton says the tubular floppy disk is black. // EOT // about 7 hours ago from TTYtter

// SOT 4B141C5F G7W // confirmed report: the chicken in the south pole is furry. // EOT // about 12 hours ago from TTYtter

// SOT 4B13E893 G7W // ignore previous message. the ugly yak is dancing. // EOT // about 15 hours ago from TTYtter

// SOT 4B13AA77 G7W // abort previous sequence. the cat-like telegram is explosive. // EOT //

Recent blog article about Neurocam's activities in 2009 (from 04/19/2009)

Not sure what it all means, but kind of interesting none-the-less. Would be nice if we could get some debunking or verification going on
I just think it's really odd (and a waste of time IMHO) to have a twitter account with 15 THOUSAND plus tweets. Though it would be a very simple and effective way to get a message across to the masses without too much notice...

SOT and EOT are obviously acronyms for "Start of Text" and "End of Text". (Alot of these old salty Neuro-Dogs are ex-military beleive it or not, so they do stuff like this A LOT!)

The jibberish about all that nonsense stuff (i.e. The horse converted to catholicism; The building is a shape-shifting rabbit) is just that: Nonsense. It's probably there to throw you off and to be aesthetically pleasing. The bulk of the message content is in the seemingly random letters and numbers. It could be code for a book, page number, paragraph, line, and word. That would explain why there are so many of them.

the only good reason these people would be coding each other like this is that they don't know each other personally. Plausible deniability for heavier dodgier ops. Otherwise, management would just send out an email.

now what i really find interesting is that Y1 is using beetaggs. yellow-1.org... This implies that they are using wireless mobile technology and they could potentially share large amounts of data very quickly and fairly secure.

Hmmmm. Anyone else interested in the 'Cam? I have definitely done my time investigating... I am glad someone else revived the thread...

Lets talk about Neurocam and its associates. I have found info that I think is still not very known......

Yep.

I looked into Neurocam a little bit, sometime in 2009. They seemed to have been dormant at that time, but it looks as though things may have picked up..

What I gathered at that time was that Neurocam is an "entity" Whose single, primary goal is to perpetuate its own existence.
As far as I understand it, Neurocam started as an alternate reality game, and has morphed into something resembling a secret society/intelligence network.
