Here's three pics from a sighting 11/4/07. They were shot over a minute period at 1.6sec, 1.3 and 1/2 second shutter speed respectively with my Panasonic FZ 50. While this camera has a fine zoom lens that goes to 420mm, the noise reduction is terrible so I have to shoot raw all the time at night.

Hey CJB,

Could you clarify what we're looking at? Particulars such as location and perspective are always handy when evaluating photos. Any additional information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Becker,

The activity is hard to describe. At different times I have noticed a light that appears suddenly, usually in the same vicinity of the sky, then blooms out very strongly for maybe 15-30 secs. The light dies down then an object seems to exit the light 'blob' and start moving to the right of the frame blinking it's lights (?), lower altitude and disappear behind the headland in the foreground of image, possibly into the water. It is early in the morning and I see it looking South towards Sydney which is 20 miles away. Some times I have seen this pattern repeated several times within say a 30 min time span by up to five objects. They do not come from, or approach the direction of Sydney airport.

A preliminary report on Spectrum analysis is available online, although there has been further material provided by me since that report was first written, and I look foreward to the time when this further analysis is completed. You may read the original report here.

Here's another pic taken seconds before the first two on this post.It also shows a similar 'blob' to a sighting I posted a week or so here.
