Second Coming no one knows the day or hour, the Rapture is not the same event, its on the Feast of Trumpets...if it happens.

People can mix apples and oranges all they want. You offered no proof its the same event.

Ok now i will futher show you how the coming of jesus will be the same time as the rapture...

its futher written in the 7th chapter of the book of revelation...

1: After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow on earth or sea or against any tree.
2: Then I saw another angel ascend from the rising of the sun, with the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm earth and sea,
3: saying, "Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God upon their foreheads(third eye)."
4: And I heard the number of the sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand sealed, out of every tribe of the sons of Israel.

9: After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude(the raptured) which no man could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
10: and crying out with a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb!"
11: And all the angels(Annunaki) stood round the throne and round the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,
12: saying, "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God for ever and ever! Amen."
13: Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, "Who are these, clothed in white robes, and whence have they come?"
14: I said to him, "Sir, you know." And he said to me, "These are they who have COME OUT of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Now its important to note that when one of the elder annuaki ask john "Who are these, clothed in white robes, and whence have they come?"

John doesnt answer the question but insted he tells the elder that he is much wiser so he should already know..then the elder annunaki gives him this answer.."These are they who have COME OUT of the great TRIBULATION; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb"(BELIEVED IN JESUS)

The elder is basically telling him that they(believers/raptured/144,000) were taken from the tribulation which proves the rapture occurs during the tribulation ..not before or after..but during, because the annuaki even used the word TRIBULATION..and if you didnt know by now, we have been in the tribulation since 2001..and the tribulation is only 7 years long..SO YOU KNOW THE TIME IS NEAR..

15: Therefore are they before the throne of God(Anu), and serve him day and night within his temple; and he who sits upon the throne will shelter them with his presence.
16: They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat.(because we'll be livng INSIDE the planet..so no sunlight is required)
17: For the Lamb(jesus) in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water(fountain of youth); and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

AMEN!!!

I have a prediction: on May 18 (or shortly thereafter), this thread will be ruptured.

The 17th is meaningful day for myself because it is the 10TH anniversary of the day we buried my father. He'll be in my thoughts. As far as the rapture or something along those lines, I have my doubts. I do hope nothing seriously negative happens that day in the world.

I seriously can't believe people are debating over something as stupid and pointless as this.

I ask people of "faith" this question right now:

What makes you so different from the other faiths around you? Each and every single faith to this day has had it's own creation story and its own climactic end story. There does NOT have to be a "beginning" as we know it and there does NOT have to be an "end" as we know it. Singularity has been trampled at this point in educated science. These are linear steps to figuring out the universe in a way that makes SENSE.

Do you Christians look at people who believe in the Koran as complete lunatics? "How could they believe in such a falsehood!" and do you realize that they look at you in the same way? There's a REASON why you're a Christian and there's a reason why they believe in their version of your god. So don't give me that "oh, they got this and right and they got this and that wrong". They believe the same about you.

So, who the hell is right? What about Jews? Are they to be forgotten? Why are you being so selfish? Why does the world and the universe have to revolve around humanity? Stop being silly, please.

The Earth will cease to exist. It's very true. That won't happen until our sun becomes a red hot giant and burns "us" (if we're not dead already through self extermination or if we haven't moved on to the countless other planets) off the face of this planet. It will then engulf this planet and THEN you will be right but you've got a few billion years to go.

You can believe in your Jesus/God but toss out every other belief and they can believe in their Mohammad/Allah but I'll just go a step further and say:

I don't believe in any at all.

Look at it this way. For the sake of argument only let's say Christianity in general is the 'correct' religion. There are over 9,000 known denominations each with its own unique doctrine. That means IF one has it right then there is a 8,999-to-1 probability that YOURS is wrong. And that is only IF one denomination has it right.

I predict that this prediction along with all the other ones on ATS in this forum are all claims of crazy people, yet to be found crazy by a doctor.

Im not trying to be mean here. But honestly. These predictions and religious belifes if said enough times, to the right people, could get you locked up in a mental hospital.

When I see these posts I imagine a dude in a mental hospital gown (open ass, light blue cloak) who has snuck out and acquired internet access from the coffee shop down the road. Writing at a frantic pace before the oncoming medical staff that is surly searching for them takes them back where they belong.

....I just hope they find them cause there seems to be a lot getting out these days....

the so called rapture is nothing more as the arrival and come back of the aliens whom possed as gods, or which we believe to be gods.
they take everybody in to enslavement who is behaving there way and that is say that they are gods and we will follow them.
the people who are not going to follow the so called gods will be destroyed and killed.
that is rapture nothing more nothing less. the bible is nothing more than hand account of alien visitations, landing, and them acting true out our history. people wanting proof of life out side our own planet , read the bible, koran , torra ect they are the proof of alien life beyond ours.

I hope its May 17 of this year. I have so many things to do and so many bills to pay, I would love to just forget them all. Please take me (if God is listening)

The "Rapture" ideology is nothing more than an escapist mentality. If the "Rapture" actually occurred, there would be no need for Christ to war with the "Beast" in Revelation.

interestingly enough, the rapture is never mentioned in the bible.

As most of them predict the end of the world, and the world has not, to my knowledge, ended or even begun to seriously fizzle, I think, no - I'm certain, you are right. Well done!

I think its safe to say if the bible has predicted certain events, then its pretty amazing.
And it has.

Does it predict every event? Or do those who read the bible understand what it says all the time?
No!

The prediction game is frought with perial....enter at your own risk

As many times as I have read the Bible, in the past, I don't ever remember any specific dates for prediction in there. And that is what is needed to make the masses believe specific dates, times, and what will occur, then you have something, anything else is just personal opinion and interpretation.

Junglelord:

Jesus was referring to the Second Coming, not the Rapture.

If we backtrack a bit from the 1 Thessalonians verse to 4:16 we get:

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command

Source Bible Gateway

And if we track through your Matthew 24 verse we get:

At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. 31And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds

'At that time' (the time when 'they will gather his elect from the four winds') 'they will see the Son of Man coming on clouds of the sky'.

So tell me again how the alleged rapture is separate from the return of Christ?
