I'm sure we all thought it was marvelously appropriate for Star Trek's James 'Scotty' Doohan's ashes to be shot into space. Looks like he's taking the long way, though.

After blasting 70 miles up, the rocket parachuted back to Earth. But it blew off course and landed in a remote area of the New Mexico desert. In true Star Trek style, a search team has spent the past fortnight combing the area. www.telegraph.co.uk.../news/2007/05/12/wscotty12.xml
