Honestly, it sounds like a sexied up Tony Robbins motivational seminar speech. I agree generally that people don't realize the "power" within them
to change their circumstances, their world views, and their state of mind. It's never too late to abandon things like god, magic, and other
fantastical thinking, for example. People should take some risks and opportunities to do the things in life that they want, not settle for something
they don't want and definitely don't waste any time trying to prepare for the "next life" which most likely doesn't exist (and if it does nobody
knows what it would be like).
I think that messages like this are best served by a skeptical and rational point of view. If you don't believe in a god, especially the one of the
book, you are free from those chains forever. Imagine how the women and men of hard-line Islamic countries would be able to live if it wasn't for
that book and the people who believe so completely in it. Sexuality and freedoms would not be repressed with some lame justification about god.
Think about that a minute, then think of how life is in the Western world. Do we really need to sex up our true freedoms and potentials with new age
language and twists? We should be able to appreciate the fact that we can exercise such freedoms without being put to death, put in jail, or be
discriminated against.
This is further helped by the atheist's deduction that this is our one life, our single chance at conscious existence, so seize whatever
opportunities that you can in your lifetime, don't clutter your mind with god and certainly don't retain any guilt for the natural human things that
you do. Of course some people would say that this is what SATAN wants you to do, but that's just how they want to control your life and make you
feel guilty. Let that go and the power really is yours.
