Which Religion can save the world? Christanity,Islam,Judaism,Buddhism or something else?

If you want an end of war, religion is the last place to look for that solution. They don't exactly have a very good record in that arena. Civil and moral behavior in people are what lead to civilized and moral nations.

It is present but buried under all the crap. All we need to do is to reform current religions, leave historical books for history and create new based on laws of spirituality and nature. Similar to New Age but without all the silly stuff.

Very true.

How about a new religion with us at the centre and not "god".

All that passion, devotion, faith, worship, truth, love and peace focused on us for a change.

You can't replace a bad religion with a 'better' religion. It's still religion.

Taking ultimate responsibility for the consequences of our own actions would be a start. Instead of fobbing off the decision on our mistakes to the discretion of one sky daddy or another.

If we had a human based religion, we'd still need a "God".

I would say Buddhism is *the* religion. That's my 2 cents.

It won't be a religion that will save the world but it will be a shift in collective awareness of man. The observed is the observer. The outer conflicts of the world are intimately connected and just a reflection of the inner conflicts.

Has anyone heard of the spiritual teacher Krishnamurti? He was way ahead of his time and many people believed he was a manifestation of the christ/buddha consciousness. He taught how most of the worlds problems are down to rigid belief structures, the overuse of the intellect in our day-to-day awareness and that oragnised religion because its root lies in knowledge moves us further away from god.

Also I highly recommend this video of a talk between Krishnamurti and physicist David Bohm talking about the solutions to the worlds problems. Awesome!!

Well as for Christanity and Islam, they both forsee an "End of the Wolrd as we know it" event, before the savior will return. (Or before the messiah comes)
Most Jews are still waiting for the Messiah to come, the savior who will come and put an end to all of this, but these things are happening noe because of the LACK of a Messiah, but because we are people. We as people have destroyed this world so utterly, look at global warming as the physical example. Then you have everyhting you listed from wars and genocides to every other awful thing that could happen.

We have built this mess, and we WILL have to deal with it, own up to it.
But there will be deliverance in the end. Messiah WILL come! and Messiah WILL deliver us from this mess we have created.

The answer would be Buddhism, which talks about love and compasssion. In all honesty if we all let our ego's go and quit being so greedy and work as communities we would have as many problems in the world as we do.

All religions teach peace. The closest thing to a violent religious teaching (that I know) is that Muslims are allowed defensive war. It is the misinturpitations of these religions that lead to religious wars, or the fact that others believe in a different religion than you do. So if there were no religious disputes at all, the Middle East would be a much nicer place, and we wouldn't have to invade to make sure that they don't stop supplying us with oil, which would kill our economy if they did.

Well he was not exactly flower power, the guy was also a spy, the profesion he had does not indicate to a guy that picks flowers and sings love songs.

Situation today, and it will get worse with World War 3 soon. Then after millions die and people see no religion is helping, then they will accept New World Order. Basically it's about us, do we accept new violence and manipulation or not. I don't see masses rejecting political propaganda, even more, masses are more and more ready to finally show muslims and muslims hope to show us their god. World War 3 will save the world because people are too ignorant to say NO today. But they will tomorrow.
