I have talked to someone in GAO many years ago who was pretty open out it. For many reasons I believe he did not think I was any kind of threat and rightfully so.

I do not think it is a case of a planned disclosure, I think it is more of personal desire.

Well I percieve it as this: The goverment knows that the masses are starting to grow more intrested in UFOs and thier origins. For the past 60 years the goverment has been able to keep the subject of UFOs and aliens in the realms of science fiction and fantasy, but now people are starting to really look at the evidence from a scientific perspective and thier comming to the conclusion that this may really be going on. Also, due to technology like digital cameras and the internet, people are able to share information and video footage much easier and faster than they could in the past.

The goverment knows that they can't stop this, but they also know they can't just come out and say aliens exist and that they've known this for 60 years. If they do that then they know the masses will become increasingly supicious of the goverment and wonder about why they didn't say anything earlier and what else might they be keeping secret. So in order to keep the trust of the people, thier leaking info about UFOs and aliens out to the public so they themselves won't have to tell people about it. The goverment knows they have to maintain a decent relesionship with the masses, and they aren't about to do anything to make the pubic not trust them. So I beleive when disclousre does eventually happen, it'll be initiated be the aliens, not the goverments.

heres my opinion

theyve had dsclosure on the backburner, letting it builds its believers. They are now going to bring that "disclosure tool" out of the box and others so that they can show the world that alien life is a reality. In turn, when they, the shadow/mason/whoever these scum are, simulate the Aliens attacking then the majority of the world will fear this. Alhough, any good chess players knows to think way ahead and have many backup plans and DISTACT DISTRACT DISTRACT.

What?? So you were told by a supposed intel person that aliens exist but you dont believe it? Whya are you posting this then?

You also state that you dont believe in something untill you see it, Well im an electrician and ive never seen electrons move through a wire before, but I know they do! So now Im telling you (as an electrician) electrons flow through a wire! Do you believe me??!!

I think what the OP is trying to say, is that while he personally does not believe in aliens, he's keeping an open mind and questioning everything, including the motivation of the person he spoke to - an attitude I personally admire and try to emulate myself. I think by questioning everything, and everyone, we're more likely to come closer to more fundamental truths on any issue - belief is fine, experience is fine, but rational, logical and calm questioning gives us better tools to evaluate what's in front of us - and how it affects us.

I can see how this story could be easily set aside. I can imagine the news story. "Intelligence agency declares aliens are real." The news continues. "This was the same intelligence agency that stated that Sadam Hussein was building a nuclear weapon."

The story could continue, "In some small news, in an effort to help the war effort, the administration hired the former Iraqi minister of information to oversee our intelligence department. False intelligence reports will no longer be tolerated and the public will only hear the truth from now on."

from a personal perspective I find it difficult to understand how anyone can say they don't believe that aliens exist especially with the latest discoveries of goldilocks planets and Drakes revised equasion, it is inconceivable to me that we are the only intelligent life, the Drake theory alone tells me this I also believe that government can no longer keep the lid on this due to our information technology, in fact i'd say it was near impossible, therefore disclosure is a forgone conclusion IMO

i know that it is 60 years after the roswell crash ( or the in te vacinity around roswell) so we will have to see what is going to happen on the exact date of the crash only 60 years later .

I heard the same phrase from a lot of people, and I am confused in what it means.
I guess you mean something like: I refuse to believe that there is an intellectual race of beings that visits us locally but originate from other solar systems. Is that it?

On earth we discover "new beings" almost everyday in the form of insects, plants or higher mamals, of which we obviously conclude that they originate from earth. We do that without thinking. Did you ever hear of a biologist that claimed to have discovered a monkey (you know, the small ones that fit in the palm of your hand in the rainforest) and said: we overlooked it, so it must be from another planet, we are now searching for it's vehicle.

So simply put, everything that is as stupid or more than ourselves is from here. "Stupid" of course means, awareness that is outside our "scientific paradigm". That why people call other people stupid that do not handle the same type of common sense.

Everything that is smarter (being transparant and doing the speed of light might be just that, and on top, the tendency to keep yourself hidden for humans for thousands of years) must come from elsewhere.

So we are just plain arrogant.
For one reason or another, we have to believe that we are the gatewatchers of what is and what is not. That is a safe position. It is of course total nonsense. We are only gatewatchers of what we choose to believe in. And I cannot understand why we should do that. Since I chose to not believe in the god I was brought up with, I live in a happy bliss of agnosticism and research. Not knowing that is.

When somebody says to me: I say an strange phenomenon...I research and the same with the ET...or with military men or astronauts that claim such things to be true..and untill today I myself did not see both (outside of my dreamworld), but it could in my view easily exist. I do not know the boundaries of what is.

When I ask you: Do you think that there are other intellectual beings in this universe, you will probably say: Yes. You are smart, so you know that this posibility is large.

So probably only the fact that such a being would visit us here, is incomprehensible to you. Or the fact that they go through walls? Or abduct people or mutilate cows, as they say.

I for one am glad with your post and the fact that you hear people say things like you mentioned. I hope something will open up, whatever comes out, because openess on al states of affairs is what we need in this global world to go on safely.

I choose to give the benefit of the doubt to those series of men and women that came forward and are pledging on what they saw or heard and I am very curious on what may come of it.

because the OP takes what he heard casually and often doesn't put
any validity to what he asked/heard from the gov't/military person.
