The Bible is a book with historcal facts of cities, places all proven to be true. So you telling me that is like me telling you I can prove to you Jerusalem exists without using the Bible.

God Bless

but... i CAN prove jerusalem exists without using the bible... i can go there. i can take a shovel and dig down and find ancient jerusalem.

and the bible's historical facts are outweighed by the historical lies. such as the fall of jericho... many hundred years after it was already defunct.

I'm glad you can prove as you should be able to prove it. But, I would like substancial proof on the Jerhico wall being a historical lie, Good substancial proof.

how about this:
you can't
knock down a wall
with TRUMPETS AND SHOUTS

that enough?
how about the fact that archaelogically jericho is classified as a NEOLITHIC site... when the jewish genocidal conquests were in the BRONZE age.

are you honestly asking me to disprove the story of TRUMPETS AND SHOUTS knocking down a wall?
how about this: stadiums don't collapse during sporting events. the rose bowl is still standing, it has far more people than the hebrew army making, most likely, more noise.

do i honestly need to DISPROVE a statement that you can't PROVE?

Actually, madnessinmysoul, many historians believe that the trumpets and shouts were used by spies inside the walls of Jericho as a signal for an army to attack. The red rope mentioned in the bible is also a clue. I believe they even re-enacted it on the History Channel or National Geographic or one of those channels.

They may have I know they did a special on the whole book of Exodus, and then right after it there was a special on the Israelites being great warriors or something. So it is a possability, though I have not seen it.

The Bible is actually full of inconsistencies and historical inaccuracies.

For example, the great census that was supposedly taken during the year Jesus was born, under King Herod, was not actually undertaken until six years after Herod's death.

As to internal inconsistencies alone, there are dozens. Here are a few to start you off:

GE 1:3-5 On the first day, God created light, then separated light and darkness.
GE 1:14-19 The sun (which separates night and day) wasn't created until the fourth day.

GE 11:7-9 God sows discord.
PR 6:16-19 God hates anyone who sows discord.

GE 17:1, 35:11, 1CH 29:11-12, LK 1:37 God is omnipotent. Nothing is impossible with (or for) God.
JG 1:19 Although God was with Judah, together they could not defeat the plainsmen because the latter had iron chariots.

EX 20:4 God prohibits the making of any graven images whatsoever.
EX 25:18 God enjoins the making of two graven images.

DT 24:16, 2KI 14:6, 2CH 25:4, EZ 18:20 Children are not to suffer for their parent's sins.
RO 5:12, 19, 1CO 15:22 Death is passed to all men by the sin of Adam.

There are many more here.

The bible is far from being perfect, infallible, or accurate, historically or otherwise.

MM, Very nice I have to compliment you on finding these, some of these were tough.

GE 11:7-9 God sows discord PR 6:16-19 God hates anyone who sows discord

I fail to see how these could be contridictions, the first talks about Babel,

Genisis 11:7-9; 7. " Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other. 8. So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. 9. That is why it was called Babel- because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth. "

and the next one talks about that God hates a lying tongue, haughty eyes, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies, all of which do NOTdescribe God.

anyways, your next one is about graven images. Ok, you used the Ten Commandments. Did you read ALL of that Commandment, it is not that you just make it, it is that you should not BOW to it. Now, you used where God commands Moses to build, or construct, the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark was not built to be BOWED to.

Your contridiction that revolves around children are not to suffer for their parents sins. Let me put it like this, God does not want us to suffer for our parents sins, But we cannot do that until we break that generational curse.

God Bless
