I think that it's the green, almost scaly looking parts of the map. Along the Mississippi, for example. And all over Florida.
I recall in eighth grade that my science teacher had a neat 3D map which showed the elevations of the U.S. One day, he told us that if all the ice in
the world were to melt, all the green parts on the map would be flooded. The deep green was for elevations of zero to one hundred feet. I seem to
recall that the green on that map nearly matched this map.
Anyway, that's quite interesting... what would we do if the U.S. were flooded?
