How come there are so many 'terrorist suspects' all of a sudden?

There is a war going on here, of media fear-mongering.
We are constantly being bombarded with the threat of something ominous, and now here you are, 2000 people living in the UK, plotting against us.

If this is mainstream news, see link above + additional links. then dont you think they would stopo all activities now?
