google maps: area 51 wierd disc shaped object

I don't know how to link to the exact spot on google maps, but do a google map search for area 51, look north from the green arrow almost to the end of the runway then go left a little bit and zoom in.
The is a metallic looking disc in the air above a building... looks a lot like a UFO to me... then look further to the left, and there appears to sphere in the air...

any ideas?

Can you not at least do a screengrab?

It sounds like the radar dish antenna buildings. They have been discussed elsewhere on ATS, and positively identified.

I'm not sure why they are so often mistaken for hovering discs or spheres. Are large dish antennas really so unfamiliar to most people? Perhaps my own experience is atypical.

this thing is a dish antenna? How high do they put those things? I'm no expert, but looking at the shadow of the building next to it, and it's own shadow, It seems to be pretty elevated.

looks like theres alot of construction. whats that patch of green west of the marker? you zoom in and it looks like toxic waste

Hey! Why is the big Dish Commmunications Antenna pointed straight up?
Do you think UFO's in space are communicating with Area 51 scientists?
BTW, Thanks for the Google link V.O.. I've never seen area 51 before.

that almost looks like something was smudged out in the name of national security.... the really secure spot is here...

If the green circles weren't so close to a public highway, I'd guess
that those were hidden UFO discs. The one on the lower right that
looks like Pac-Man is under construction and 2/3 finished. But I'm
sure the government wouldn't be hiding anything important right
next to U.S. Highway 375..would they?

The first picture shows (in a counterclockwise direction):
Building 123 (Dish Antenna Bldg.)
Building 122 (Range B.E. Office)
Building 118 (QK-1 Storage)
Building 110 (Quick Kill Radar #1)

The little square building to the left of QK-1 is Building 112 (Storage Shed).
There are two circular concrete antenna pads northwest of the shed.


The second picture, with the green circles, is Penoyer Farms near the town of Rachel. Those are circular alfalfa fields with center-pivot irrigation.

I'll just assume everyone was joking about hidden UFOs and such.

Well then, I guess that settles that...
