The 'Secret' sux.

I believe in the Law of Attraction for the most part but do We really create Our own reality? If enough thought is put into something does it manifest? While pondering some family dilemmas the 'Secret' came to mind. My youngest daughter entered 1st grade this past year and it was particularly lonely for Me at home. I contemplated having another child and put a lot of time and energy into the idea. Lots of things like time, $, the extra responsibilty were a factor. I came to the conclusion that logically and financially it wasn't a good idea and realized it was a case of temporary 'empty nest' syndrome. I have enough kids (4 to be exact) and this is the 1st time I've actually ever had time to Myself. Now, emotionally it was hard. I pictured a new baby, a lot. How a baby would fit into the family. The relationships between siblings and a baby. Baby clothes, baby furniture, girl baby, boy baby. Baby, baby, baby, hardcore for about 8 months, gotta think things through, right? After all was said and done and My mind was free of any more babies- life kicked Me in the ass. My middle daughter of 17 is pregnant. Back to My ?- If enough thought is put into something does it manifest?

That's a really hard question. I think theoretically, yes.

However, in reality, things are different. I've been in the middle of a nasty custody battle for a year now and I've been thinking about it nonstop. So far, I'm still losing out (and so are the children, by proxy).

I have to wonder about this: if person A is putting the power of positive thinking to work on a subject, say, their neighbor moving out because they're an idiot, and person B (the neighbor) is thinking they love their house and aren't moving for love nor money, do they cancel each other out? Does the person with the stronger willpower win?

I know in quantum physics that these sorts of things are answered for the microcosmic, but in the macrocosmic sense, I don't believe it is so cut and dried or simple

It's one of my problems with the conundrum of "prayer." All sorts of people believe in the power of prayer, but if people are praying about diametrically opposed ideas, how does "god" know who to favor? Doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever.

Just a simple note to say: Yes, I think we (humanity) are capable of manifesting our own future by just thinking about it. The possibilities are endless.

If we had never looked up and wondered "how do birds fly?", would we have built aeroplanes and flown ourselves?

But.....
If we had looked up and seen an eagle, flying, we would want to fly.
If we had looked up and seen a pigeon flying, we would want to fly.
Etc, etc.....and never done anything more than want to fly!

But we didn't stop there did we? We knew there was so much more.

To wonder if you should have another child would be normal because you already have children and another child would provide the solution to the farmiliar and natural feeling, and timeslot now available.

My point is...maybe your pregnant daughter can now step up into the role you have been playing, allowing you to take your next step too, having already had children. Hence: Evolution.

It's a big world out there and you are now possibly ready for something new.
Maybe still family orientated and adding to the family you already have in a new way.

Hard to really explain but how about this:

You + Him + 5 Kids + Grandchild + House
or:
Demetre + Husband + 4 Kids + Grandchild + Family + Home

You are the artist, you can paint anything you can imagine

If we can imagine it, it is real. How real, is up to us.

A lot of times I have thought of things that were impossible or out of reach, only to have them appear. Trouble is, I'm never ready for them. Who knows, life's a really strange game.

Now its time to

Become a fully functional grandma. You will now be able to spoil her children rotten over the years, and then send them back to her house.

PS Wheither you are doing it for the right reasons or not, it all depends on if you can raise them right. There are plent, enormous amounts to be exact, of children who would love to be adopted and have a home, rather than stay in a facility for their childhood.
