I don't need to connect myself to a group of people in order to "fit in", unlike many religious zealots.

Yep. You're right. I feel 100% better about all those people I killed, raped, and stole from. Not to mention all those puppies I had to drown. This has to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard! Xians are the ones looking to make themselves feel better about their "sins".

If I wanted to wear a label, I would probably use agnostic.

I dont have a clue. I would have to say I belive in SOMETHING I am just not sure if its the god of my mother or something else.

I do belive in an afterlife though, but there is no way to know till you get there

Well the obvious point that this genius is missing. Is that there is the same amount of evidence for god as there is against. None. As the very concept of god makes it impossible to prove one way or the other. So to say people are stupid for not believing in god is merely calling yourself stupid.

Now, as far as irrational, why would people believe in such an extravagant, impossible to prove concept, when there are workable provable theories that cover much of what god is supposed to have done. (Not all proved, obviously, but proveable).

On that note.

No, we do not worship the same god. Different beliefs have entirely diffferent ideas of worship, history and core values, although the basic core values are generally shared. Assuming a god is all powerful and such, then he would not need to have different people worshipping him in different ways.
Look around at the creation, you can tell that the Creator is very attentive to detail. Not only the eye through which you see, or the intricate detail of a leaf, or how the solar system was placed just right so that life could flourish here, but everything points to a particular manner and purpose. That clearly shows particular likes and dislikes. That would indicate to me that were He to force His will, He'd make us worship and believe in the same manner of His liking. All the rest would be just as discarded as someone giving me Lane Cake instead of Red Velvet Cake.

Im not sure wether or not I believe in God or not, Sometimes I do, sometimes I dont.
